When traveling by air, everyone is worried about germs but when it comes to the airport, what surface do you suppose is the yuckiest? \u00a0The plastic trays that you put your carry-ons in at security checkpoints have the highest numbers of viruses of anywhere in an airport.<\/p>\n

Even more than the toilet research found they\u2019re covered in pathogens that can cause everything from the common cold and flu to pneumonia, bladder infections, SARS and more.\u00a0 Those trays are thought to carry high numbers of viruses because they are rapidly reused, and they are touched by every single passenger that passes through an airport.\u00a0 They are rarely disinfected, and their hard surfaces allow viruses to survive for up to a day.\u00a0 The author of the study says that people can help to minimize contagion by washing their hands hygienically and coughing into a handkerchief, tissue or sleeve.<\/p>\n

According to a new study you might be able to live a longer life and avoid diseases that come with old age, including cancer and heart disease, by DRINKING young people’s BLOOD.<\/p>\n

And yes, this is real . . . well, at least in theory.\u00a0 The researchers found that when people over 35 were injected with plasma from teenagers’ blood, there was a real improvement in their biomarkers for diseases.<\/p>\n

And in animal tests, older animals’ brains got sharper when they were injected with younger blood.<\/p>\n

BUT . . . before you run out and start chompin’ on necks, it’s worth noting that the people behind the study didn’t have people DRINK blood.\u00a0 That COULD be how we get it into ourselves one day, but for now, a lot more research is needed.<\/p>\n

ENTERTAINMENT<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

Paramount Pictures has pushed back the much-anticipated sequel to \u201cTop Gun\u201d from July 2019 to June 2020.\u00a0 The reason for the delay?\u00a0 According to those involved in the project, more time is needed to work out the logistics of producing flight sequences using new technology.\u00a0 The sequel will be set in a world of drone technology and will explore the end of the era of dog-fighting, with Cruise portraying a flight instructor.\u00a0 The original was released in 1986.<\/p>\n
