Winnipeg\u2019s Chris Matthew was finally able to cover his legs up once again. It was back in 2001 that he pledged he wouldn\u2019t wear pants\u00a0until his Blue Bombers won a Grey Cup.<\/p>\n<p>Like the Tiger-Cats coming into Sunday\u2019s game, the 2001 Winnipeg team was the heavy favourite against the Calgary Stampeders. Thomas and his co-writers\u00a0Ashley Gorley\u00a0and\u00a0Jesse Frasure\u00a0originally took the song in a completely different direction.\u00a0[\u201cThe first way we wrote it was strictly about the person that you\u2019re with. And we wrote an entire song about, you know, I\u2019ll always remember you, even when you\u2019re in a black cocktail dress, I remember you in your pink prom dress. It\u2019s like you always envision who you\u2019re with when you met that person because those images are just ingrained in your head, and you\u2019re always young together even if you\u2019re old, at least you hope you are. And we wrote the song and it just didn\u2019t come out the way that I wanted it to.
