A 38-year-old woman in Oregon, Ohio called 911 earlier this month and said, quote, &#8220;I would like to order a pizza&#8221; . . . and then gave her address.<\/p>\n<p>The dispatcher&#8217;s name is Tim, and at first he told the woman it was the wrong number to call for a pizza . . . but when the woman kept talking, he realized what was ACTUALLY happening.\u00a0 She needed help . . . but she couldn&#8217;t say it out loud.<\/p>\n<p>The woman lives with her mother.\u00a0 And her mother&#8217;s boyfriend is a 56-year-old guy named Simon who&#8217;d just come home drunk and was attacking her mom.\u00a0 And the woman didn&#8217;t want him to know she was calling 911. Tetsuya Inoue, who took over the Asahi Ryokan hotel in Fukuoka last year, says he was looking for ways to boost business and was inspired by a British YouTuber who livestreamed his time at the hotel. Room #8 is now equipped with cameras that are always livestreaming on his YouTube channel, \u201cOne Dollar Hotel\u201d. The feed is video-only and the cameras are pointed away from the bathroom area to give guests some privacy. Inoue says that the hotel loses money with the $1 stays, but once his YouTube channel reaches 4,000 view hours, he will be able to monetize the scheme with ads.<\/p>\n<p>\u27a2 Former McDonald\u2019s employee Cody Bondarchuk is being hailed a \u201chero\u201d after he revealed in a now-viral tweet that he secretly gave out extra chicken McNuggets for two years \u2014 unbeknownst to his employer. The 26-year-old from Edmonton, Canada says he put an extra nugget in every 10-piece box when he was employed at the fast-food chain from 2007 to 2009. Of course, Twitter went wild with comments calling Bondarchuk a \u201chero,\u201d \u201cSt. Nuggets\u201d and a would-be Nobel Peace Prize award-winner. After someone referred to him as \u201cthe Robin hood of nugz,\u201d Bondarchuk even added the nickname to his profile bio.<\/p>\n<p><strong>____________________________________________________________________________<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><u>\u00a0<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><u>There&#8217;s a New Way to Calculate Your Dog&#8217;s Age in Human Years . . . but It Sucks<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>You&#8217;ve heard that a &#8220;dog year&#8221; equals seven &#8220;human years.&#8221;\u00a0 But everyone knows it&#8217;s not really true.\u00a0 No, your 18-year-old dog isn&#8217;t 126.\u00a0 So researchers at the University of California San Diego came up with a new equation by looking at how dog DNA ages.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>It involves something called a \u201cNATURAL IOGARITHM,&#8221; which varies depending on how old the dog is. \u00a0So first you have to use an\u00a0online calculator\u00a0to figure that out.<\/p>\n<p>The other big problem is they&#8217;ve only come up with one equation so far for Labradors.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Probably because they&#8217;re the most popular\u00a0breed.\u00a0 So it doesn&#8217;t work on other dogs.<\/p>\n<p>Here&#8217;s the equation they came up with:\u00a0 To figure out a lab&#8217;s age in human years, first you find their &#8220;natural logarithm&#8221; number, which tends to be somewhere between 0 and 3.\u00a0 Then you multiply it by 16, and add 31.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>If your dog is 12 years old, it means they&#8217;re 71 in human years.\u00a0 Not 84, which you would have gotten with the old &#8220;seven year&#8221; rule.\u00a0 But they&#8217;re not always younger.\u00a0 For example, a 7-year-old dog would be 62 instead of 49.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>There&#8217;s another major flaw too, because even the researchers admit it doesn&#8217;t work for all ages.\u00a0 According to the formula, a one-year-old dog would be 31 . . . a two-year-old dog would be 42 . . . and a 20-year-old dog would only be 79.<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>\u00a0<\/u>__________________________________________________________________________________<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><u>\u00a0<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><u>HOW TO TELL IF IT\u2019S A COLD, FLU, OR ALLERGIES:<\/u><\/strong><strong><u><br \/>\n<\/u><\/strong>A few tips from health experts \u2026.<br \/>\n\u2713 Colds and the flu are viral infections that usually bring fever, aches, and fatigue.<\/p>\n<p>\u2713 Allergies do not come with a fever.<\/p>\n<p>\u2713 If you\u2019re sneezing and blowing your nose endlessly, it could be a cold or allergies, but a cold will leave after a week-to-10 days. Somebody broke it.<\/p>\n<p>This isn\u2019t the first time that the Grey Cup has been snapped in two. The 110-year-old trophy has been broken on several occasions, usually with the top of the cup breaking away from the base.<\/p>\n<p>That\u2019s what happened to Calgary in 2014, as well as the BC Lions in 2006.<\/p>\n<p>In 2012, the Toronto Argonauts broke off one of the handles. The trophy\u2019s neck needed tape to hold it back together in 1991..<\/p>\n<p>The Edmonton Eskimos, for their part, have damaged it on three occasions, with a player accidentally dropping it in 1978, sitting on it in 1987, and head-butting it in 1993.<\/p>\n<p>The Grey Cup survived a fire that destroyed the Toronto\u00a0Argonaut Rowing Club in 1947.
