Erwin Fisher passed away peacefully at Copper Terrace Nursing Home on Sunday, December 8, 2019 at the age of 93.<\/p>\n
Erwin was born in Tilbury East Township on September 3, 1926 and was the son of the late Arthur and Ellen (Telfer) Fisher.<\/p>\n
Beloved husband of the late Violet (Hyatt) Fisher (1986) and Eleanor (Brush) Fisher (2014).<\/p>\n
Loving father of Dale and his wife, Dana Fisher of Burlington and the late Cathy McFadden (2012) and her husband, Lonnie of Chatham and step-father of Jane and the late Richard Rumble, Judith and Lynn Girty and Curtis Crewe.<\/p>\n
Sadly missed by grandchildren, Christy (McFadden) Hobley, Nicky (McFadden) and Shawn Falconer, Candice Fisher and Kyle Fisher, step-grandchildren, Darby Wood and Dempsey Wood.<\/p>\n
Special great-grandpa of Brianna Falconer, Paige Hobley and Drew Hobley.<\/p>\n
Fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, in-laws and friends.<\/p>\n
Predeceased by his sister, Olive (Robert) Coatsworth and his brother, Lyle (Doreen) Fisher.<\/p>\n
Cremation has taken place.<\/p>\n
The family will receive friends on Thursday, December 12, 2019 at the Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham, ON from 6-9 pm.<\/p>\n
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, December 13, 2019 at the McKinlay Funeral Home at 11 a.m., with Pastor Eric Skillings, officiating.<\/p>\n
Interment will be held in Shanks Cemetery, Romney Township.<\/p>\n
Donations in memory of Erwin to the Alzheimer Society or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.<\/p>\n
