          A New Study Finds the Exact Age When We’re the Most Miserable<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

          A new study out of Dartmouth College in New Hampshire looked at data from almost eight million Americans over the past three decades to figure out when people are the most MISERABLE.<\/p>\n

           <\/p>\n

          And the answer is . . . when you’re 47.2 years old.<\/p>\n

           <\/p>\n

          Basically, our happiness as adults goes in a U-shaped curve.\u00a0 We’re happy when we’re 18, then we start getting more and more miserable over our 20s, 30s, and 40s.\u00a0 It bottoms out when we’re 47.2 . . . and then we start getting happier again.<\/p>\n

           <\/p>\n

          By the time you hit 70, you’re just as happy as you were when you were 18.<\/p>\n

          So why is middle age so depressing?\u00a0 Basically, the researcher says it’s because you realize your big dreams really AREN’T going to come true.\u00a0 Sorry.<\/p>\n

          But as you get older, you start to put your life in a better perspective and you become grateful for what you have, which is why you start getting happier again.<\/p>\n

          GOOD NEWS<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

          Terry Ingram, a photographer in Nebraska was\u00a0snapping some nature photos on Saturday when a car sped past him, flipped over, and landed upside down in a pond.<\/p>\n

          So he jumped into the freezing water and pulled all three victims out.\u00a0 Two of them were taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.<\/p>\n

           <\/p>\n

          He got emotional talking about it later on.\u00a0 Especially when he mentioned that one victim’s mom reached out to him.<\/p>\n

          \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

          Ingram said he’ll now look back at the pictures taken that day and be thankful the timing was just right. “God puts people places for a reason. I think he told me my camera’s dead, go up there and wait,” he said.<\/p>\n

          Ingram said he hopes to meet up with the three men to see how they’re doing.<\/p>\n

          Technology helps us in a lot of ways.\u00a0 But it’s also made us worse at certain things.\u00a0 For example, 13% of people in a recent survey said they don’t even know their OWN phone number, because they don’t have to.<\/p>\n

            How Long Will You Stay on Hold? And What Type of Music Do You Hate Least?<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

            More than one in five will stay on hold with customer service INDEFINITELY, according to a new poll.<\/p>\n

             <\/p>\n

            31% will only wait five minutes . . . 34% will wait up to 15 minutes before they hang up . . . and 22% said they’ll stay on the phone “as long as [they] need to.”<\/p>\n

             <\/p>\n

            The remaining 13% said they REFUSE to wait on hold.\u00a0 They’ll either request a call back, or find another way to get in touch.<\/p>\n

             <\/p>\n

            One in seven people also said they wish HOLD MUSIC wasn’t a thing.\u00a0 15% of us would rather sit and stew in silence while we wait. The most popular type of hold music is classical with 20% of the vote.\u00a0 Country music and “rock or pop” tied for second . . . then hip hop.<\/p>\n

             <\/p>\n

            Just over a quarter of us think that “listening to annoying music or repeated messages while on hold” is one of the most annoying things about customer service.<\/p>\n

             <\/p>\n

            And 80% of us have gotten so frustrated, we’ve either started SWEARING at a customer service rep, or broken down in tears.<\/p>\n

            When was the last time you did laundry? Home appliance company Bosch surveyed 2,000 British adults and found most people (58%) are not opposed to other people re-wearing their clothes multiple days in a row, but a quarter admitted they’d feel dirty doing so themselves.<\/p>\n

            Also, nearly a quarter of people said they feel pressure from society to look presentable, with 16 percent worrying that a second wear could leave a bad impression.<\/p>\n

             <\/p>\n

            These pressures are causing people to wash clothing more frequently than is necessary, which isn’t good news for our environment.<\/p>\n

            Bosch is encouraging consumers to wash their clothing less frequently.<\/p>\n

                      Adlin Lewis\u00a0of\u00a0Brampton.\u00a0won the biggest lottery prize in Canadian history a\u00a0record-breaking $70 million jackpot\u00a0from the\u00a0Tuesday, January 7, 2020 LOTTO MAX draw.<\/p>\n

                      The Brampton resident checked his ticket the morning after the historic draw. \u201cWhile I was warming up my car, I scanned my ticket on the OLG Lottery App but I got an error message, so I tried again. And then I saw the words \u2018Big Winner\u2019 and the number 70! I was shocked and wanted to confirm what I saw so I went online to see the winning numbers and one by one they matched!\u201d<\/p>\n

                      Though Adlin knew he had a winning ticket, he still went to work and contemplated how to share the unbelievable news with his wife. \u201cI wanted to tell her in a special way \u2013 with a trip or something creative \u2013 but I couldn\u2019t keep this news to myself, so I ended up waking her up in the wee hours of the morning on Thursday and just telling her outright,\u201d he laughed.<\/p>\n

                      Ten years after parting ways,\u00a0Brooks & Dunn\u00a0<\/strong>will hit the road this summer for their first nationwide tour together.\u00a0Brooks & Dunn Reboot 2020 Tour\u00a0<\/em>will kick off in St. Louis, MO on May 15th with several yet-to-be-announced special guests.<\/p>\n
