And it has already brought about something new \u2013 now known as the \u201cvirtual happy hour\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Some bosses, aware of current \u201csocial distancing\u201d guidelines, and the fact that many people are working from home, and thus unable to \u201cjoin the gang\u201d at the local watering hole for some shop talk and socializing after work, are inviting their employees to join them via videoconference for a virtual happy hour.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>That\u2019s right \u2013 they turn on the computer or device cameras, pour a drink, and party with their co-workers remotely. Although it hasn\u2019t been proven to beat coronavirus, it does slow the progression of viruses in general. Also suggested: Vitamin C, zinc, elderberry.<\/p>\n<p>\u27a2 Load up on fruits and vegetables:\u00a0 They are known to enhance your immune response. Put a bunch together in a smoothie if you like. (I\u2019m guessing we should be really washing our produce well these days too\u2026!)<\/p>\n<p>\u27a2 Get the flu shot:\u00a0 That way, if you do feel ill, you\u2019ll know it\u2019s probably not the flu. He set up with musician\u00a0<strong>Jeff Linsenmaier<\/strong>, who played keyboards and percussion during the set. Their 30-plus minute performance was streamed live from a warehouse in Nashville that holds Keith&#8217;s gear.<\/p>\n<p>He told viewers, \u201dWe thought we\u2019d just set this up and stream it tonight, mostly because I was supposed to be playing tonight, and I just thought it would be nice to be able to play to anyone.&#8221; He was scheduled to play the Houston Rodeo, which, of course, was canceled due to coronavirus concerns. Keith joked, &#8220;I&#8217;ve got limited people here of course.
