{"id":1448,"date":"2018-09-26T05:13:20","date_gmt":"2018-09-26T09:13:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/briwebapp.net\/cfcofm\/?p=1448"},"modified":"2019-02-11T10:36:21","modified_gmt":"2019-02-11T15:36:21","slug":"on-todays-show-15","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/briwebapp.net\/cfcofm\/blogs\/mornings\/2018\/09\/on-todays-show-15\/","title":{"rendered":"On Today&#8217;s Show"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong><u>LIFESTYLE<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A guy named John Wilson and a friend stole several hundred dollars worth of alcohol from a grocery store in Wisconsin last week.<\/p>\n<p>The cops started chasing them, and John got out and ran.\u00a0 And he actually got away . . . until about an hour later, when he surrendered.<\/p>\n<p>Why&#8217;d he give himself up?\u00a0 Because there were so many MOSQUITOES swarming in the area that he couldn&#8217;t take it anymore.<\/p>\n<p>And he wasn&#8217;t kidding.\u00a0 When the cops cuffed him, about 20 mosquitoes swarmed onto his forehead and he asked the cops to wipe them away.<\/p>\n<p>He was charged with fleeing, theft, and obstructing an officer.\u00a0 The cops are still trying to track down his buddy.<\/p>\n<p><strong>______________________________________________________________________________<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>A company that manufactures home pizza ovens is offering the chance to stuff your face and your wallet with a job that involves making and eating tons of pies. The company, Ooni, will pay the lucky workers up to $1,000 a day to create pizzas with its portable, wood-fired ovens. Pay is commensurate with pizza experience, the company says.<\/p>\n<p>Job responsibilities include testing and providing feedback on various recipes, and maybe throwing the company a bone with a social media post or two. Oh, and you\u2019ll need a yard: Ooni\u2019s ovens are for outdoor use only. Couillard said. &#8220;It&#8217;s almost a full-time job.&#8221; He gave the example of a roast pork bought on special that is used in macaroni the next day, shepherd&#8217;s pie the third day and sandwiches the day after.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>One of the authors of Canada&#8217;s Food Price Report said $75 would not suffice.<\/p>\n<p>Dalhousie University Prof. Sylvain Charlebois said that in 2017 the bare minimum grocery bill for a Quebec family of two adults and two children, including one teen, would have been $149 a week, double the amount in Couillard&#8217;s example for three people.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The only way to make it work on $75 would be to resort to food banks, he said.
