\u27a2 An ice cream shop in Massachusetts finally\u00a0got\u00a0to re-open last Friday under new social-distancing guidelines.\u00a0 But it had to close down again the very next day after customers got angry about wait times, and kept verbally abusing the workers.\u00a0 The owner said it was so bad, one employee quit at the end of her shift.<\/p>\n

Well, the owner started a GoFundMe for a 17-year-old employee who was verbally abused.\u00a0 And people have already\u00a0donated<\/a>\u00a0almos 40,000 dollars for her college fund.<\/p>\n

\u27a2 How would you feel if someone walked around your neighborhood in a full plague doctor outfit? Police in Norfolk, England are on the search for a person who has been seen walking the streets in a 17th century plague doctor outfit as the coronavirus lockdown continues. The unidentified person has been spotted wearing a long black cloak, a hat, and a pointed beak-like mask in recent weeks. The police say, \u201cAlthough no offences have been committed at this time, officers are keen to trace the individual in order to provide words of advice about the implications of his actions on the local community\u201d<\/p>\n

\u27a2 Keli Harpet of Gilbert, Arizona says her security camera recently gave her dozens of alerts overnight about her front door. When she investigated she found there was no intruder, but rather thousands of bees swarming. She says the bees have chosen her porch as their new swarming spot, and there\u2019s so many of them in one area that \u201cit looks like a bad paint job with texture.\u201d She said her camera also captured the moment a surprised FedEx driver dropped off a package and sprinted for safety when he spotted the bees. Harper says she contacted a beekeeper who removed the swarm.<\/p>\n

\u27a2 When George Montgomery moved into his home in Georgia in November 2018, it didn’t take him long to realize the property had bees. . “You could hear them slapping against the wall as they landed to crawl into the hive.” In late February 2020, when the weather started to warm up, Montgomery went out to mow the lawn and had to duck from all the bees swarming.<\/p>\n

It cost Montgomery less than US$1,000, to have the bees removed and when they were done they safely removed about 100,000 bees. He said a normal colony, for comparison, has only about 10,000 to 80,000 bees. The bees are settled into a new hive in North Georgia.<\/p>\n

Montgomery is happy to be bee free — and even got to keep some of the ceiling honey for himself.<\/p>\n

\u27a2 Paul Willis, said a postcard appeared in his mailbox recently from his sister, Annie Lovell, and he soon noticed the card bore a picture of Lovell on a Grand Canyon hike in 1987 — and a San Francisco postmark from December of that same year. Willis said the postcard bore a second postmark from April 29 of this year in Des Moines, so he called the post office to see if they had any explanation for the postcard’s tardiness. “She said, ‘Well, the post offices are all going through deep cleaning because of COVID-19, the postcard may have been discovered while furniture and machines were being moved for cleaning.<\/p>\n
