{"id":16090,"date":"2020-07-13T04:39:18","date_gmt":"2020-07-13T08:39:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/briwebapp.net\/cfcofm\/?p=16090"},"modified":"2020-07-13T04:39:41","modified_gmt":"2020-07-13T08:39:41","slug":"darius-rucker-wife-call-it-quits","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/briwebapp.net\/cfcofm\/blogs\/country-music-news\/2020\/07\/darius-rucker-wife-call-it-quits\/","title":{"rendered":"Darius Rucker &amp; Wife Call It Quits"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Darius Rucker and his wife, Beth Leonard, have decided to split up after 20 years of marriage.<\/p>\n<p>Darius shared a message on social media on Saturday, July 11th.<\/p>\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" class=\"insta-iframe\" src=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/CChB-GalWVP\/embed\/captioned\" width=\"auto\" height=\"auto\" frameborder=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\"><span data-mce-type=\"bookmark\" style=\"display:inline-block; width: 0px; overflow: hidden; line-height:0;\"  class=\"mce_SELRES_start\"><\/span><\/iframe>\n<p>Darius and Beth have two children together, 19-year-old daughter Daniella and 15-year-old son Jack.<\/p>\n<p>Darius also has a 25-year-old daughter, Caroline, from a previous relationship.<\/p>\n<p>On Friday, July 10th, Darius appeared on NBC&#8217;s Today show where he publicly spoke for the first time about experiencing racism and how the death of George Floyd was the catalyst for him keeping silent no longer.<\/p>\n<div class=\"video-shortcode embed-container\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"YouTube video player\" width=\"610\" height=\"355\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/bV0LA68WFIM\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<p>Darius told Today&#8217;s Harry Smith,<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;I&#8217;ve lived with racism my whole life. It made me realize I can&#8217;t keep living my life like everything&#8217;s OK because everything is not OK.&#8221;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>He shared his experiences of being told by program directors that because he&#8217;s black, radio wasn&#8217;t going to play his music. He said,<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;I can&#8217;t live like that anymore.
