{"id":17004,"date":"2020-09-02T09:35:37","date_gmt":"2020-09-02T13:35:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/briwebapp.net\/cfcofm\/?p=17004"},"modified":"2020-09-02T06:03:33","modified_gmt":"2020-09-02T10:03:33","slug":"on-todays-show-452","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/briwebapp.net\/cfcofm\/blogs\/mornings\/2020\/09\/on-todays-show-452\/","title":{"rendered":"On Today&#8217;s Show"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\u27a2 On Sunday night, two pilots who were flying into Los Angeles International Airport reported seeing a man in a JETPACK flying at 3,000 feet.<\/p>\n<p>One pilot was from American Airlines, and one was from SkyWest . . . so these are legit pilots for big airlines who wouldn&#8217;t be trying to pull a hoax.<\/p>\n<p>The FAA and FBI are both investigating.<\/p>\n<p>Besides the potential legal issues of flying a jetpack at that altitude and in a restricted airspace, an aviation expert says the guy was taking a huge risk.<\/p>\n<p>Quote, &#8220;The risk is obviously having a collision with an airplane . . . or the person getting ingested into an engine.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u27a2 It\u2019s been eight years since David Blaine performed one of his famous outdoor stunts today he plans to float 18,000 feet, or nearly 3\u00bd miles, into the sky over Arizona carried by 52 helium-filled weather balloons, before releasing the balloons and parachuting back to earth. It\u2019s a stunt that has been a decade in the making and required Blaine to complete 500 airplane jumps, become licensed for hot-air balloon piloting and learn to read wind patterns. The event will stream TODAY starting at 5:55am pacific time on Blaine\u2019s YouTube channel.<\/p>\n<p>\u27a2 \u00a0This has to be a welcome mix-up. Police in Cologne, Germany, said they received several reports early Wednesday morning (August 26th) from Cologne residents who reported sounds of gunfire nearby. Police identified the source of the sounds, and brought in a locksmith to open the door to the suspected apartment. Luckily, when officers entered they just found the sleeping 34-year-old resident sleeping in front of the TV which had an action movie playing on it at a high volume. They say they sanitized it, plugged it in, and then couldn\u2019t believe it worked.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>They also said they weren\u2019t able to get any information from the phone until they popped out the SIM card and then put it into another phone. A study published by the Journal of American Mosquito Control Association finds that people who drink beer are actually more attractive to mosquitoes compared to those who do not drink beer.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The scientists say the chemical compound ethanol is a favorite of mosquitoes, and when you consume beer, the percentage of ethanol in your sweat significantly increases.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>In addition, drinking alcohol makes your body temperature go up, which is also something mosquitoes love.
