\u27a2 The L.A. Chargers scratched quarterback\u00a0TYROD TAYLOR<\/strong>\u00a0just before Sunday’s game, for a “chest injury.” As it turns out, the cause of the injury was . . . the TEAM DOCTOR.<\/p>\n

Taylor was supposed to start the game, but his ribs were sore, so he went to the doctor to get a painkiller. The doctor injected it . . . but in the process, he PUNCTURED HIS LUNG.<\/p>\n

Taylor hasn’t commented, but yesterday Chargers coach\u00a0Anthony Lynn<\/strong>\u00a0acknowledged that Taylor suffered a “complication” from the injection. Lynn said Taylor felt “fine” . . . despite the hole in his lung . . . but he won’t start against the Carolina Panthers this weekend.\u00a0 It’s unclear when he might return.<\/p>\n

\u27a2 “Cake Boss”\u00a0<\/strong><\/em>star\u00a0BUDDY VALASTRO<\/strong>.\u00a0 He and his family have a bowling alley in their New Jersey home, and they were enjoying a game the other night when their pinsetter malfunctioned.<\/p>\n

Buddy reached in to dislodge a pin, and got all messed up.\u00a0 His rep says, quote, “his right hand became lodged and compressed inside the unit.<\/p>\n

“Unable to remove his hand, he can see a [one-and-a-half-inch] metal rod slowly and repeatedly impale his hand three times between his ring finger and middle finger.”<\/p>\n

Buddy’s sons actually had to cut through the metal rod with a reciprocating saw to set him free.<\/p>\n

Buddy had two surgeries, and he’s home from the hospital, but his rep says he’ll need, quote, “prolonged recovery and therapy.”<\/p>\n

\u27a2 An elementary school teacher in Florida named Edith Pride\u00a0spoke<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0at a school board meeting last week.\u00a0 And she asked parents to stop being idiots during their kids’ online classes.\u00a0 She said she and other teachers have seen nudity, drugs, and all sorts of nonsense going on in the background.<\/p>\n

\u27a2 A Christmas cookbook inspired by the TV show \u201cDownton Abbey\u201d is coming soon. The Official Downton Abbey Christmas Cookbook includes recipes viewers see during the sit-down meals in the show, and are also historically and culturally accurate to the time period. The book will also tell stories from the series, talk about seasonal traditions from the Edwardian era, and have photographs from important moments in the show. It will be released on October 27th, but you can pre-order it on Amazon now for about $31.<\/p>\n

\u27a2“Elf”\u00a0<\/strong><\/em>is considered a modern classic among Christmas movies, so it’s surprising there’s never been a\u00a0sequel.\u00a0And now, we know why.<\/p>\n

JAMES CAAN\u00a0<\/strong>played Buddy’s biological father in the movie, and in a recent interview, he said, quote, “We were going to do it . . . but the director [Jon Favreau<\/strong>] and\u00a0Will<\/strong>\u00a0[Ferrell<\/strong>] didn’t get along very well.”<\/p>\n

Apparently, Will wanted to do it . . . but apparently he wanted to do it without Favreau, but because of contractual obligations, it got too messy.<\/p>\n
