{"id":18368,"date":"2020-11-02T09:35:07","date_gmt":"2020-11-02T14:35:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/briwebapp.net\/cfcofm\/?p=18368"},"modified":"2020-11-02T05:44:28","modified_gmt":"2020-11-02T10:44:28","slug":"on-todays-show-487","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/briwebapp.net\/cfcofm\/blogs\/mornings\/2020\/11\/on-todays-show-487\/","title":{"rendered":"On Today&#8217;s Show"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\u27a2 Original James Bond actor\u00a0<strong>SEAN CONNERY<\/strong>\u00a0died in his sleep on Saturday, at the age of 90.\u00a0 There&#8217;s no cause of death, but his wife said he&#8217;d been suffering from dementia, and his son said that he&#8217;d been &#8220;unwell for some time.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Connery is most famous for being the first to play James Bond on the big screen.\u00a0 That was\u00a0<em><strong>&#8220;Dr. No&#8221;<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0back in 1962.<\/p>\n<p>He later played Bond in the 1983 movie\u00a0<em><strong>&#8220;Never Say Never Again&#8221;<\/strong><\/em>.\u00a0 It was based on the novel\u00a0<em><strong>&#8220;Thunderball&#8221;<\/strong><\/em>, but was NOT produced by Eon Productions, which has done all 25 movies in the main Bond movie series.<\/p>\n<p>Interesting Fact:\u00a0 Connery&#8217;s wife suggested the title\u00a0<em>&#8220;Never Say Never Again&#8221;<\/em>, because after making\u00a0<em>&#8220;Diamonds Are Forever&#8221;<\/em>, Sean vowed to never make another Bond movie.\u00a0 But, 12 years later, he agreed to do this one.<\/p>\n<p>Here&#8217;s Sean Connery\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=lYlP2Vkj_Bo&amp;t=1953s\">talking<\/a>\u00a0about starring as James Bond, along with three-time Bond movie director, Terence Young, who explains Connery wasn&#8217;t the first, or even second, choice to play Bond.\u00a0 (Connery&#8217;s first was &#8220;Dr. No&#8221; in 1962.\u00a0 He was 007 in these others, &#8220;From Russia With Love&#8221;, &#8220;Goldfinger&#8221;, &#8220;Thunderball&#8221;, &#8220;You Only Live Twice&#8221;, &#8220;Diamonds Are Forever&#8221;, and &#8220;Never Say Never Again&#8221;.)<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u27a2 A 32-year-old woman in Florida is facing\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.wfla.com\/news\/local-news\/tampa-woman-accused-of-amazon-return-scheme-that-made-her-100k\/\">charges<\/a>\u00a0for a shipping label scheme where she scammed Amazon out of $165,000.\u00a0 She used 31 different accounts, and reused prepaid shipping labels for cancelled orders that they then reimbursed her for.\u00a0 Over five years, she returned around 42,000 items, and got $3.99 each time she did it.\u00a0 Here&#8217;s law enforcement, and a TV reporter at her door.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u27a2 There&#8217;s a 50-year-old guy named Dwight Turner in Davie, Florida.\u00a0 And he recently went to a small private animal sanctuary owned by a guy named Michael Poggi to pay $150 for a, quote, &#8220;full contact experience&#8221; with a black leopard.<\/p>\n<p>And as soon as Dwight got into the cage . . . the leopard MAULED the hell out of him.<\/p>\n<p>He spent a week in the emergency room and needed multiple surgeries after the leopard did a number on his head and right ear.<\/p>\n<p>Michael WAS licensed to have the leopard, but not to offer the contact experience . . . so now, he&#8217;s been cited for maintaining captive wildlife in an unsafe condition.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u27a2 It shouldn\u2019t come as a surprise that men do NOT like to go to the doctor. But a survey by the Cleveland Clinic shows just HOW MUCH they don\u2019t like it. The study of almost 1,200 men in the US found that 65% of men avoid going to the doctor for as long as possible. 37% have withheld information from their doctor to avoid a potentially negative diagnosis, and a full 72% of men said they\u2019d rather do household chores (even including cleaning the toilet!) than visit the doctor.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>TODAY IS\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026.<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u201cDeviled Egg Day\u201d, saluting the dish that entails hard-boiled eggs cut in half and filled with the egg\u2019s yolk mixed with mayonnaise &amp; mustard.<\/li>\n<li><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u201cCookie Monster Day\u201d, a celebration of the birthday of everyone\u2019s favorite blue monster with a voracious appetite.
