{"id":20669,"date":"2021-03-03T05:14:07","date_gmt":"2021-03-03T10:14:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/briwebapp.net\/cfcofm\/?p=20669"},"modified":"2021-03-03T05:14:07","modified_gmt":"2021-03-03T10:14:07","slug":"dolly-parton-gets-covid-vaccine","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/briwebapp.net\/cfcofm\/blogs\/country-music-news\/2021\/03\/dolly-parton-gets-covid-vaccine\/","title":{"rendered":"Dolly Parton Gets COVID Vaccine"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"video-shortcode embed-container\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"YouTube video player\" width=\"610\" height=\"355\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/OjbSWebA3Ko\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<p>Dolly Parton received her Moderna Covid vaccine on Tuesday, March 2nd at Nashville\u2019s Vanderbilt University Medical Center.<\/p>\n<p>She shared a picture of herself receiving the injection, as well as a video encouraging everyone to get the vaccine on social media.<\/p>\n<p>Moderna is the vaccine that researchers at Vanderbilt were working on thanks in part to Dolly&#8217;s $1 million donation last year.<\/p>\n<p>In the photo, Dolly is getting the vaccine from her friend and Vanderbilt researcher Dr. Naji Abumrad.<\/p>\n<p>She captioned it with, \u201cDolly gets a dose of her own medicine.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The video also shows Dolly getting the shot, and asking others to do the same.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;I&#8217;ve been waiting a while. I&#8217;m old enough to get it and I&#8217;m smart enough to get it, so I&#8217;m very happy that I&#8217;m gonna get my Moderna shot today, and I want to tell everybody that you should get out there and do it, too. I even changed one of my songs to fit the occasion.
