{"id":20895,"date":"2021-03-15T09:35:31","date_gmt":"2021-03-15T13:35:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/briwebapp.net\/cfcofm\/?p=20895"},"modified":"2021-03-15T06:09:54","modified_gmt":"2021-03-15T10:09:54","slug":"on-todays-show-565","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/briwebapp.net\/cfcofm\/blogs\/mornings\/2021\/03\/on-todays-show-565\/","title":{"rendered":"On Today&#8217;s Show"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u27a2<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">A guy calling himself the &#8220;Covid Bandit&#8221; recently walked into a restaurant in Denver and\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.9news.com\/article\/entertainment\/dining\/covid-bandit-6800-tip-restaurant-guard-and-grace\/73-81e2ad35-6119-4486-9d87-4785ddd2643f\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">left<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u00a0a $6,800 tip . . . $200 for each of the 34 employees.\u00a0 (Here&#8217;s one of the workers talking about it.)<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u27a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> There&#8217;s a tradition in Chicago to dye the river GREEN for St. Patrick&#8217;s Day.\u00a0 But as of Friday, the city was saying there were no plans to dye it this year, to avoid crowds coming to watch.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Well . . . in a move straight out of the Chicago political playbook, it turns out that was a bluff.\u00a0 They DID dye the river green after all on Saturday . . . they just didn&#8217;t tell anybody in advance, to keep crowds from gathering to watch.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">It&#8217;s surprisingly easy to dye the river . . . it only took about 20 minutes on Saturday morning for boats from the Chicago Plumber&#8217;s Union to get it done.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">But St. Patrick&#8217;s Day is still going to look different in the city in other ways because of the pandemic . . . all of the normal parades have been canceled, and there are still serious restrictions on the bars.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u27a2<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">A woman in Alabama was\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.fox10tv.com\/news\/baldwin_county\/bcso-gulf-shores-woman-face-felony-charge-after-stealing-neighbors-goat-and-painting-it\/article_536281d4-7aaa-11eb-8c26-67c7496620ef.html?block_id=1002690\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">arrested<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u00a0recently after she stole a neighbor&#8217;s goat . . . PAINTED it . . . and then took a bunch of photos for social media.\u00a0 She&#8217;s looking at a FELONY charge for livestock theft.\u00a0 (Here&#8217;s\u00a034-year-old Erica Farmer and Capt. Clint Cadenhead from the Baldwin County Sheriff&#8217;s Office.)<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u27a2<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> Twitter is testing out an \u201cundo send\u201d feature for tweets. App researcher and tipster Jane Wong posted a tweet with a GIF of how the feature would work. It seems a timer comes into play once a user hits send on a tweet, and for around five to six seconds, you\u2019re able to hit \u201cundo\u201d if you so choose. Twitter also confirmed to Mashable that the feature is being tested. to a study published in the journal JAMA Psychiatry, those who received brief phone calls over the course of a month reported feeling 20% less lonely, on .<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">It might take a day or two to adjust to Daylight Saving Time.\u00a0 But most people say it doesn&#8217;t mess with their sleep long term . . .<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">83% in a new poll said springing forward DOESN&#8217;T affect how much they sleep.\u00a0 Only 6% said they get less sleep because of it, and 10% sleep more.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Three in four also said they get the same amount of work done in a day.\u00a0 Again, just 6% feel less productive now that the sun sets later . . . and 19% get MORE done.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Over 7 in 10 people say changing the clocks twice a year doesn&#8217;t really affect them much . . . but that doesn&#8217;t mean we like it.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">54% want to do Daylight Saving Time all year . . . 19% prefer Standard Time . . . and 27% want to keep the current system of changing the clocks twice a year.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Parents are more likely to prefer the current system.\u00a0 1 in 3 like adjusting the clocks, compared to 1 in 4 people who don&#8217;t have kids.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>TIPS TO GET BACK ON TRACK\u2026\u2026.<\/b><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> Get some exercise today.\u00a0 Even a brisk walk can help your body crave sleep a little more and compensate for that extra hour.\u00a0 Just don&#8217;t do it too late in the day.\u00a0 The Better Sleep Council says no later than two hours before bedtime.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<ol start=\"2\">\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> Skip that extra cup of coffee later in the day.\u00a0 Caffeine stays in your body up to 12 hours.\u00a0 And even if you swear it doesn&#8217;t affect your sleep, it won&#8217;t hurt to cut yourself off a little early.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<ol
