\u27a2\u00a0 <\/span>A 59-year-old from Texas named Don Muchow just\u00a0<\/span>became<\/span><\/a>\u00a0the first person to run the 2,761 miles from Disneyland to Disney World.\u00a0 He has type-1 diabetes, and said he did it to show other people with diabetes that they can “still dream big.”\u00a0 He had no idea, but a huge crowd was waiting to cheer him on at the finish line.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u27a2\u00a0 <\/span>British people are very serious about their tea, and now science has something to add to their tea conversation. Professor Alan Mackie with Leeds University says he\u2019s found that pouring milk on a tea bag before adding the boiling water is the way to get the best-tasting tea. He says this is particularly important if the person making the tea lives in a region that has hard water, as proteins in the milk lower the mineral content of the water, creating a better flavor. Many on social media clapped back at the finding, calling it \u201cappalling\u201d and \u201cbalderdash\u201d.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u27a2\u00a0 <\/span>During a virtual presentation about the opening of Disney parks, an exec showed off the lightsaber, turned it on, and said, quote, “It’s real.”\u00a0 Then the video ended.<\/span><\/p>\n

Later in the day, a Disney creative boss said, quote, “A lot of questions today about whether the lightsaber that [was] revealed today was real or CGI, and, whether I’d share photos or video. \u00a0Yes it was\/is really real, and . . . not yet.”<\/span><\/p>\n

There’s no word where, when, or how this thing is going to be used, but since it was unveiled during a presentation on the Disney parks, maybe it’ll be something you actually get to play with. Which would suggest that while they turn on and off like the ones in the movies, they probably DON’T cut people in half.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u27a2\u00a0 <\/span>A 22-year-old entrepreneur has created a business that he feels serves an important purpose during these times of COVID-driven disarray. Cameron Banville started The Bong Cleaners, his mobile bong-cleaning business, in Ottawa, ON, last July. He decided to launch it after learning to clean his own bongs, then being asked by friends to do the same to theirs. He charges $15 per bong and says he caters to people who like to smoke, but find cleaning their equipment \u201cdirty and nasty\u201d work.\u00a0 According to Banville, when he turns their blackened bongs into glistening glass, \u201cpeople say, \u2018Wow, that\u2019s crazy.\u2019 \u201d<\/span><\/p>\n
