\u27a2 <\/span>A man from Zimbabwe, Tawanda Kanhema, realized that he couldn’t find his hometown on Google Street View.\u00a0 So, he took matters into his own hands and volunteered to\u00a0<\/span>map Zimbabwe<\/span><\/a>\u00a0himself.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u27a2 <\/span>\u00a0Because of high demand, lumber has emerged as the hottest commodity of this year\u2019s home, deck and fence construction season, and as a result, it has reached all-time high prices. But home builders are reporting that lumber is also a hot commodity for thieves. Akash Home of Edmonton has been hit at several job sites this spring, causing losses of around $100,000. After dark, thieves used on-site machinery to load massive bundles of wood onto their own trailers, sometimes taking product from 2 or 3 builders in the same neighbourhood. Wood is now being marked with spray paint to help identify it if it turns up at another job site or for sale online.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

\u27a2 <\/span>The steep increases in wood prices that many countries have recently experienced are resulting in more expensive toilet paper. Prices for market pulp have jumped from US $606 per metric ton in September to more than $907 in April. \u00a0Kimberly Clark, the maker of Scott toilet paper, has already announced increases in prices to retailers, saying they \u201care necessary to help offset significant commodity cost inflation.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

\u27a2 <\/span>This sounds like a tough gig: A company is offering to pay 5 people $1,500 each to take a nap every day for a month. The mattress review company \u201cEachnight\u201d is looking for \u201cnap reviewers\u201d, who will be required to sleep alone, and \u201ctake part in a variety of experiments testing out theories such as the best nap duration for feeling refreshed, the effects of napping on overall levels of fatigue, and the effects of napping on memory, motivation and productivity.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Duties also include participating in video calls and completing a questionnaire about the nap. Eachnight is accepting applications from all over the world until May 31.<\/span><\/p>\n

Dermatologist Dr. Bruce Robinson says stomach sleepers (and to an extent, side-sleepers) create a friction between the face and the pillow that can add years to your face in the form of wrinkles.\u00a0 Stomach sleepers in particular also tend to develop more forehead lines. Side sleepers may be more prone to deeper wrinkles or creases on the sides of their faces, and creases on the cheeks and chin.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

That pretty much only leaves sleeping on the back as an alternative, and the doctor says doing so not only lets you avoid that skin friction, but also keeps bacteria on the pillow from coming in contact with your face.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

But if you do, be sure to slightly elevate your head, or fluid will gather around your eyes, leading to puffiness the next day.<\/span><\/p>\n

ENDANGERED CONDORS TRASH HOME OF CALIFORNIA MOM\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n

A woman named Seana Quintero Tweeted last week about how 15 California condors had made a mess of her mother\u2019s deck. She wrote, \u201cOver the weekend ~15 California condors descended on my [mom\u2019s] house and absolutely trashed her deck. They still haven\u2019t left. It sucks but also this is unheard of, [there are] only 160 of these birds flying free in the state and a flock of them decided to start a war with my mom.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

She also attached photos showing the damage. Quintero added that her mom was \u201creaching out to condor groups\u201d in an effort to \u201cmaybe keep them off her house.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Alligators don\u2019t usually show up in the parking lots of fast food joints, but not all alligators are the same. The Lee County Sheriff\u2019s Office in Florida says deputies responded, along with Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission personnel, after they got a call about a \u201changry\u201d alligator that chased customers through the parking lot of a Wendy’s. The authorities posted about the whole thing on Twitter, writing, \u201cHe may have just been \u2018hangry\u2019 for a cheeseburger, but he gave many quite the scare! Alongside FWC, we wrangled the gator and safely relocated it.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

According to a new study those who psychologically feel younger than they are, are more likely to maintain their health into old age.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

More specifically, they found that stress levels significantly contribute to one\u2019s subjective age, which is whether they experience themselves as younger or older than their actual age.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The Scientists found that those who reported more stress in their lives demonstrated a more drastic decline in overall health as they aged.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

This correlation was present among every age group examined, but it was much more pronounced for older participants.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The researchers suggest that programs aimed at helping people feel younger could reduce the harm caused by stress and improve health among older adults.<\/span><\/p>\n
