\u27a2 <\/span>Joey \u201cJaws\u201d Chestnut broke his own record at the Nathan\u2019s Famous Hot Dog Eating Contest on Sunday, while Michelle Lesco took the women\u2019s title.<\/span><\/p>\n

Chestnut downed 76 dogs and buns in 10 minutes. That\u2019s one more than he did in setting the men\u2019s record last year. Lesco, downed 30 \u00be dogs in 10 minutes.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u27a2 <\/span>A couple had lost out on 20 houses, so they waived their inspection . . . landed the house . . . and then later discovered several major issues, including an actual GARBAGE DUMP in the backyard.<\/span> The property was near Peterborough.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The yard was covered in snow when they bought it, and when it melted, they saw that there was trash buried three to four feet deep, into the ground.<\/span><\/p>\n

They need to pay around $100,000 to remove the contaminated soil and protect their drinking water.<\/span><\/p>\n

In this case, an inspection may not have uncovered the garbage dump under the snow, but it’s definitely a reminder that you should actually SEE everything first.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u27a2<\/span> Thanks to a new invention called the \u201cThird Eye\u201d, you may some day be able to text or browse Instagram as you walk, without the fear of falling into a fountain, and becoming the star a viral video. An Industrial design student has created a high-tech device that can be affixed to a person\u2019s forehead to look out for obstacles as they walk, while their real eyes are glued to their smartphone.\u00a0 The Third Eye consists of a translucent plastic case that sticks to the wearer\u2019s forehead with a gel pad. Inside the plastic eye are a small speaker, a gyroscopic sensor and a sonar sensor. When the gyroscope detects the user\u2019s head is angled down, it opens the eye\u2019s plastic eyelid and the sonar monitors the area in front of the user. When it detects an obstacle, it warns the wearer via the connected speaker.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u27a2 <\/span>The #1 show on Netflix has been cancelled, but fans aren\u2019t giving up without a fight. \u201cManifest\u201d was cancelled by NBC this week after 3 seasons, 2 of which are available on Netflix, and Netflix could become the show\u2019s new home.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Manifest premiered in 2018, following the crew and passengers of a commercial plane who suddenly reappear after being presumed dead for 5 years. While the show might have been losing fans on NBC, it still has a solid following because #SaveManifest became the #2 trending topic on Twitter, and many observers believe it would be a natural for the streaming service to pick up production of the show for its intended remaining 3 seasons.<\/span><\/p>\n
