And apparently cost was NOT an issue, because the prototypes of the models they&#8217;ve had designed cost $20,000 . . . EACH.\u00a0\u00a0 Every trash can.\u00a0 $20,000.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">There are more than 3,000 public trash cans throughout the city, so if you do the math, that&#8217;s more than $60 MILLION. For the record, the city notes that while the PROTOTYPES will cost up to $20,000, when they have them mass produced the price should come down.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">They\u2019re much more difficult to break into which is a huge issue and there&#8217;s a sensor inside, which will notify city workers when the trash can is almost full.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u27a2 <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">A 78-year-old grandmother from Albuquerque has entered her first strength competition. With a depth of 60 meters (196 feet), the pool, part of the new \u201cDeep Dive Dubai\u201d attraction, is filled with 14 million liters of fresh water \u2014 the volume of 6 Olympic-sized swimming pools \u2014 and is at least 4 times bigger than any other diving pool in the world. But the coolest part of Deep Dive Dubai is probably the pool\u2019s underwater city. Divers can explore \u201cabandoned\u201d sunken city apartments and play underwater pool in the arcade. State-of-the-art lighting and sound systems have been fitted inside to create different atmospheres. The pool also doubles as an underwater film studio. The facility is open by invitation only for now but will open to the public later this year. British Open winner, 2017)<\/span><\/p>\n<p>______________________________________________________________________________________________<\/p>\n<p><b>Guy Steals a Bunch of Stuff from a Store, and Gets Caught After Returning Something He Didn&#8217;t Want<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">36-year-old Matthew Robinson went to a Dick&#8217;s Sporting Goods store in Altoona, Pennsylvania on July 3rd.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><b><i>(About two hours east of Pittsburgh.)<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">And he walked off with almost $2,000 worth of clothes and shoes he didn&#8217;t pay for.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">He packed it all in his car and could have just left.\u00a0 But he decided to walk back into the store . . . and RETURN something he didn&#8217;t want.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">It&#8217;s not clear if he tried to get a refund, or just had no use for it and wanted to give it back.\u00a0 But when he walked in, they accused him of stealing.\u00a0 So he took off.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Cops were able to track him down using surveillance footage from the store.\u00a0 He&#8217;s facing charges for retail theft and receiving stolen property.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>A Florida Man Was Arrested for Fighting an Alligator to &#8216;Teach It a Lesson&#8217;<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Remember in\u00a0<\/span><b><i>&#8220;Happy Gilmore&#8221;<\/i><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, when he fights the alligator?\u00a0 Well, this might be the closest thing you&#8217;ll see to it in real life . . .<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">There&#8217;s a mini golf course in Daytona Beach, Florida called Congo River that also has alligators you can feed.\u00a0 And yesterday morning, some guy STOLE one.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Just after 3:00 A.M., police spotted a man FIGHTING an alligator on the street.\u00a0 And it turned out he&#8217;d stolen it from the course.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">He&#8217;s 32, and his name is William Hodge, but he goes by Bubba.\u00a0 Police posted a photo of him being handcuffed, and the alligator looks fairly small.\u00a0 Maybe four or five feet long.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><b><i>(Here&#8217;s the\u00a0<\/i><\/b><a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/DBSDPS\/posts\/4536628039704711\"><b><i>photo<\/i><\/b><\/a><b><i>.)<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">According to the police report, cops saw him swinging it around by its tail and trying to toss it on the roof of a building.\u00a0 So they arrested him.\u00a0 And when they asked why he was doing it . . . he said he was trying to teach the alligator a &#8220;lesson.&#8221;\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><b>(???)<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">He also told them he jumped a fence into its enclosure, and had to wrestle the gator for a while.\u00a0 But it sounds like it&#8217;s okay and back home now.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Bubba&#8217;s facing charges for theft, burglary, criminal mischief, and animal cruelty.\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>____________________________________________________________________________<\/b><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><b>ROOMS FOR IMPROVEMENT:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The Hilton hotel chain has announced that they will only perform housekeeping services for guests upon request\u2026and experts see it as a growing trend in the hospitality industry.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">As hotel stays plummeted in 2020 at the height of the pandemic, daily housekeeping was one of the first services to be cut, but even as travel revived, daily room tidying is not coming back full-force.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">And guests don\u2019t seem to mind: An August, 2020 survey found that almost two-thirds of travelers feel housekeeping is unnecessary.
