Canada\u2019s <\/span>Kelsey Mitchell became our final medal winner when she won Gold in the\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

women’s sprint event. She defeated the reigning world champion\u00a0on the way to the finals, then\u00a0<\/span>won two straight races in a best-of-three showdown<\/span><\/a>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Her win makes it 24 overall medals for Canada \u2014\u00a0seven gold, six silver, and 11 bronze \u2014 to close out the Tokyo Olympic Games. It’s a Canadian record for a non-boycotted summer Olympics.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

\u27a2 <\/span>Last Tuesday, a family was out on Lake Joseph in Ontario, Canada when their aluminum boat ran out of gas and they were stranded.\u00a0 Even worse, the sun was setting.\u00a0 So they started yelling for help, and flailing their arms.<\/span><\/p>\n

There was a jet ski in the distance, and the driver spotted them.\u00a0 Coincidentally, it turned out to be\u00a0<\/span>ROBERT HERJAVEC<\/b>\u00a0from\u00a0<\/span>“Shark Tank”<\/i><\/b>.\u00a0 At first, he thought they were just RABID FANS . . . but then he realized they were in trouble.<\/span><\/p>\n

He immediately drove over, and towed their boat back to the shore.<\/span><\/p>\n

Robert posted a\u00a0<\/span>video<\/b><\/a>\u00a0on Instagram, and said, quote, “Did my good deed for the day!”\u00a0 The dad and his three kids were thrilled . . . and they thanked Robert for “not hesitating” to help them out.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u27a2<\/span> Did you have that familiar, sinking feeling last night that MONDAY was right around the corner?\u00a0 A new\u00a0<\/span>poll<\/b><\/a>\u00a0found close to one in four people feel that way MOST weeks.<\/span><\/p>\n

11% of us dread Mondays EVERY single week, and another 12% said more often than not.\u00a0 So that’s 23% total.<\/span><\/p>\n

Not everyone hates Mondays though.\u00a0 26% of Americans said they NEVER have a sinking feeling as their weekend draws to a close.\u00a0 And another 24% don’t work or go to school right now.\u00a0 So half of us couldn’t care less that it’s Monday.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u27a2<\/span> Imagine fainting and waking up to a famous sitcom mom coming to your aid.\u00a0 That happened to one hiker in Utah when she fainted and fractured her nose on a rock.<\/span><\/p>\n

JULIE BOWEN<\/b>\u00a0from\u00a0<\/span>“Modern Family”<\/i><\/b>\u00a0and her sister . . . who is a doctor . . . happened to be in the same area.\u00a0 They helped clean the hiker’s face and bandage her up . . . and they gave her electrolytes, a snack, and medicine.<\/span><\/p>\n

They also helped contact her family, who had gone ahead.<\/span><\/p>\n

The hiker said she recognized Julie’s voice, but wasn’t sure from where.\u00a0 She actually didn’t recognize Julie until she introduced herself, because, quote, “I just hit my head.”\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
