\u27a2 <\/span>How would you react to seeing a bunch of kangaroos running at you? Emilie Kenny, age 27, was in Cape Bridgewater, in Victoria, Australia on Monday (August 2nd) hoping to spot some seals. But after parking her car she was confronted by a pack of nearly 20 kangaroos. She caught the whole thing on camera and says in the video, \u201cJust in case I die there is a stampede of kangaroos coming towards me.\u201d She then quickly composes herself and hides in some bushes, all while recording the group of kangaroos making their way towards her. But the animals ended up bouncing over a nearby fence after getting startled. There were no injuries.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u27a2 <\/span>This is one thing you\u2019d never want to find inside a new home: bees. Sara Weaver says she and her husband bought a farmhouse built in 1872 in Skippack, Pennsylvania, without conducting an inspection because they had really wanted a home in the area and moved quickly when they saw the home listed. They purchased the home in winter 2020, and Weaver says on the seller\u2019s disclosure it said \u201cbees in wall,\u201d and she didn\u2019t think much of it until the spring, when the bees became active. She hired a contractor who is also a professional beekeeper to get rid of the estimated 450,000 insects inside the walls of the home. She adds the total cost of bee removal and reconstruction was about $12,000 and the bees have new homes at a honey Farm.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

\u27a2 <\/span>This gives “flushing money down the toilet” a new meaning:\u00a0 A university in South Korea is testing a new type of commode that turns your waste into DIGITAL CURRENCY.\u00a0 Or more simply . . . it pays you for your POOP.<\/span><\/p>\n

It’s called the\u00a0<\/span>BeeVi toilet<\/b><\/a>, and an engineering professor came up with it.\u00a0 It basically collects everyone’s waste and turns it into methane and manure.\u00a0 Then the methane powers things in the building, and the manure is used in a nearby garden.<\/span><\/p>\n

Each time a student uses the toilet, they get paid in a digital currency the professor created called “Ggool,” which means “Honey” in Korean.\u00a0 Then they can use that Honey to buy stuff on campus, like coffee and snacks.\u00a0 He says the point is to show how valuable our waste can be if we just think outside the box.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u27a2 <\/span>Ready to watch a, quote, “time-traveling quest for love” straight out of a\u00a0JANE AUSTEN\u00a0novel?\u00a0 Peacock just ordered a new dating show called\u00a0“Pride & Prejudice: An Experiment in Romance”.<\/span><\/p>\n

The show description says it’ll be a group of eligible and hopeful suitors who have to win the heart of the heroine and her court.\u00a0 They’ll be staying in a castle\u00a0in the\u00a0countryside.<\/span><\/p>\n

Contestants will use handwritten letters to communicate and participate in archery, carriage rides and boat rides on the lake.\u00a0 With the help of her court, the heroine will choose who is worthy of her heart.\u00a0 Casting is currently\u00a0<\/span>open<\/span><\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Bees Are Better at Their Jobs if They’re Provided with . . . Caffeine?<\/b><\/p>\n

There’s a new study out that says that having caffeine in the morning can help with job performance and memory . . . in BEES.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Researchers found that caffeinated bees were better equipped to find target crops, so a little caffeine buzz helped the bees do their everyday jobs more efficiently. Obviously, the bees weren’t just jacked up on pumpkin spice lattes.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The scientists created some kind of caffeinated nectar, and added it to certain flowers.\u00a0 The bees DID show a preference to return to the flowers that had that GO JUICE . . . so yeah, it might be just as addictive for bees as it is for humans.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The researchers were also able to observe the effects of caffeine improving memory.<\/span><\/p>\n

It boosted performance in general . . . and it wasn’t just about the bees immediately flying over to that one plant that always has the good stuff.<\/span><\/p>\n

This insight could be used to enhance the productivity of commercial bees in pollinating crops.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Kristen Bell Agrees with Not Bathing Kids Until You Smell the Stink<\/b><\/p>\n

Jake Gyllenhaal is the latest celeb to enter the debate about bathing \u2014 and he has his own reason for skipping showers. He told Vanity Fair: <\/span>\u201cMore and more I find bathing to be less necessary, at times. I do also think that there\u2019s a whole world of not bathing that is also really helpful for skin maintenance, and we naturally clean ourselves.\u201d<\/span><\/i>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Although Gyllenhaal sometimes skips showers, he did clarify that he brushes his teeth often.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

When was the last time you washed your PILLOWCASES?<\/span><\/p>\n

They absorb a lot of dirt, oil, and dead skin.\u00a0 So you’re supposed to do it every week or two at most.\u00a0 But a lot of us aren’t hitting that mark. Around 1 in 3 people admit they go longer than that . . . including 2% of Americans who say they’ve NEVER washed their pillowcases.<\/span><\/p>\n

Most people don’t go more than a month.\u00a0 That includes 35% who said they wash them at least once a week.<\/span><\/p>\n

          Maddie & Tae, Breland, and Charlie Worsham are among this year’s second season of the Country Music Hall of Fame\u2019s Words & Music at Home songwriting program. The program premieres on YouTube every Thursday at 7 p.m.<\/span><\/p>\n

          Kacey Musgraves’ Next Album Will Be Like a Greek Tragedy<\/b><\/p>\n

          KACEY MUSGRAVES’<\/b>\u00a0next album will have 15 songs split evenly into three acts, and there’s a reason for that.\u00a0 She wrote it after her divorce, and was feeling like she had just been through a three-part Greek tragedy.<\/span><\/p>\n

          She tells\u00a0<\/span>“<\/i><\/b>Crack<\/i><\/b><\/a>“<\/i><\/b>\u00a0magazine, quote, “Denial, anger, sadness, depression, bargaining, guilt . . . I’ve felt all of those things.” \u00a0She also realizes her fans may be a little surprised by it.<\/span><\/p>\n

          Quote, “My last album is what people know me for. \u00a0They see me as this starry-eyed, rose-colored glasses kinda girl . . . the\u00a0<\/span>‘Golden Hour’<\/i><\/b>\u00a0girl. \u00a0Well, here I come with a post-divorce album, bursting the bubble.” But it’s not all doom and gloom.\u00a0 She adds, quote, “One thing that’s interesting to me is ‘what comes after golden hour.\u00a0 Nighttime.’\u00a0 And so I’m in a nighttime period.\u00a0 And what’s cool about that is there will be light again.” No word yet on a title or release date of the new album.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

          Chase Rice<\/b>‘s collaboration with\u00a0<\/span>Florida Georgia Line<\/b>,\u00a0<\/span>\u201cDrinkin\u2019 Beer. Talkin\u2019 God. Amen., claims the Number One spot on the\u00a0<\/span>Billboard<\/span><\/i>\u00a0chart this week. It also lands at<\/span>\u00a0Number Two\u00a0on Spotify\u2019s most-streamed \u201cHot Country\u201d songs of the year thus far.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

          Clare Dunn Was Physically Assaulted by a Lyft Driver Back in June<\/b><\/p>\n

          In an interview with\u00a0<\/span>“<\/i><\/b>People<\/i><\/b><\/a>“<\/i><\/b>,\u00a0<\/span>CLARE DUNN<\/b>\u00a0revealed that she was physically assaulted by a Nashville Lyft driver on June 26th.\u00a0 She reported it to the police and there’s a warrant out for the guy’s arrest. She was in Nashville to do some songwriting.\u00a0 She went out with friends that night, and shared a Lyft home with ONE of them.\u00a0 The driver dropped her friend off first, but wouldn’t follow Clare’s directions to her place.\u00a0She said, quote, “[I] was like, ‘That was my turn. \u00a0Where are you going?’ \u00a0He was screaming at me.”\u00a0 She didn’t let up on the guy, so he decided to pull the car over about a mile from her house.\u00a0 And that’s when it got real bad.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

          Quote, “Before I could even get my phone to try and call 911, he grabbed me by the collar, ripped me out of the backseat and slammed me face-first down into a ditch.”<\/span><\/p>\n

          She had bruises on her face, and was bleeding, so she went to the emergency room. \u00a0She also filed a police report and a detective helped her identify the driver. \u00a0And she’s speaking out because she wants to share the lessons she learned.<\/span><\/p>\n

          She says you should always take a screenshot of the driver’s information from the rideshare app.\u00a0 And, take a photo of their license plate BEFORE getting into the car . . . because the driver’s info goes away after the ride is completed.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
