\u27a2 <\/span>You wouldn’t think this had to be said.\u00a0 But if you’re in a big apartment building and there’s a flash flood . . . don’t take an elevator down to the BASEMENT.<\/span><\/p>\n

Nebraska got a ton of rain over the weekend, and parts of downtown Omaha flooded.\u00a0 So a group of friends decided to go check it out.<\/span><\/p>\n

A guy named Tony Luu was hanging out with two friends in his apartment.\u00a0 And they took an elevator down to see if the place was flooded or not . . . and quickly found out it WAS.<\/span><\/p>\n

There was a huge jolt on their way down when the elevator hit the water.\u00a0 Then it started pouring in through the cracks, and they couldn’t get out.\u00a0 One of them was recording with their phone when it happened, so there’s video.\u00a0\u00a0The water kept coming in until it was up to their NECKS.\u00a0 So they called 911 and said hurry, because they thought they might drown.\u00a0 But Tony’s roommate happens to be a maintenance guy in the building and got to them first.<\/span><\/p>\n

They had to pull at the doors from both sides to get it open, and luckily they’re all okay.\u00a0 It turned out some first responders also rescued four people stuck in another elevator in the same building.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u27a2<\/span> A venomous West African Banded Cobra is on the loose a Dallas suburb.\u00a0 The pet snake escaped Tuesday (Aug. 3rd) while his owner was trying build an in-home enclosure.\u00a0 Grand Prairie Animal Services, the owner and a venomous snake apprehension professional could not locate the cobra that night after searching in and around the house.\u00a0 Experts say it is unlikely to bite, but it\u2019s venom is possibly fatal depending on your body type and there is no antivenom for the cobra\u2019s poison.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u27a2<\/span> Police in New York are warning the public to be on the lookout for a 4 1\/2-foot Nile monitor lizard who gave its owner the slip during a move.<\/span><\/p>\n

Police said a resident was moving out of an apartment when their pet lizard managed to escape its cage and flee more than 100 feet up a nearby tree. Live traps were placed in the area around the tree, but the lizard apparently evaded the traps when it descended the tree and was later in someone\u2019s back yard. Police said the species is known to bite and secretes a venom that could lead to a bacterial infection, but would not likely be fatal to humans.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u27a2 <\/span>Sorry Marvel fans, looks like\u00a0<\/span>HUGH JACKMAN<\/b>\u00a0has no intention of playing Wolverine again.<\/span><\/p>\n

In a YouTube interview, Hugh said, quote, “There’s nothing in my inbox from [Marvel boss]\u00a0<\/span>Kevin Feige\u00a0<\/b>[which] means it’s probably, no matter what idea I came up with, not on the table . . .<\/span><\/p>\n

“It’s still a character I hold close to my heart. \u00a0But I know it’s done.”<\/span><\/p>\n

He added, quote, “Tell that to whoever you want . . . but please tell it to\u00a0<\/span>RYAN<\/b>\u00a0[<\/span>REYNOLDS<\/b>] because he doesn’t believe it . . . he thinks I’m joking.”<\/span><\/p>\n
