A teenager in Germany recently lost his driver\u2019s license less than an hour after passing the exam to earn it, getting caught doing nearly\u00a0double<\/em>\u00a0the speed limit on the way home.<\/p>\n

He was doing 95 km\/h in a 50 km\/h zone, which in Germany was enough for him to lose his license and extend the probationary period he\u2019d be classified a new driver for from two years to four.<\/p>\n

He has been banned from driving for four weeks, and will only receive his license back after being re-trained. He was also fined 200 Euros ($300).<\/p>\n

Four people were in the car when they were caught speeding, suggesting the young man driving the car was showing off to his peers.<\/p>\n

While losing your license for a speeding infraction seems a little harsh, he was moving pretty fast. And having the thing confiscated officially 49 minutes after getting it? That must be a record.<\/p>\n

With typical German humour, the arresting officer wrote on the ticket: \u201cSome things last forever\u2014others not for an hour.\u201d Hilarious.<\/p>\n

Disney released the first\u00a0trailer\u00a0for the\u00a0“Lion King”<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0remake over the weekend, and it almost broke a record.\u00a0 The trailer got 224.6 million views within 24 hours.<\/p>\n

That’s just short of the 238 million views that the\u00a0“Avengers: Infinity War”<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0trailer got in its first 24 hours.<\/p>\n

The “live-action” CGI remake of\u00a0“The Lion King”<\/em>\u00a0opens July 19th.<\/p>\n

It stars the voices of\u00a0Donald Glover<\/strong>\u00a0as Simba,\u00a0James Earl Jones<\/strong>\u00a0as Mufasa, and\u00a0Beyonc\u00e9<\/strong>\u00a0as Nala.<\/p>\n

This new\u00a0“Lion King”<\/em>\u00a0trailer repeats a lot of imagery from the trailer for the 1994 original . . . and someone has already made a video comparing the two side by side<\/p>\n

      One of the “Storage Wars” Guys Sold a Unit for $500 . . . And It Had $7.5 Million Inside<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

      “Storage Wars”<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0star\u00a0DAN DOTSON<\/strong>\u00a0recently sold off a storage unit for $500 . . . and later found out that it had $7.5 million in it.<\/p>\n

       <\/p>\n

      The money was inside a safe.\u00a0 It’s not clear whether Dotson knew the safe was in there, or why he didn’t try to open it himself.\u00a0 But the new owner did, and found the cash.<\/p>\n

       <\/p>\n

      But soon after finding the money, the new owner got a call from an attorney representing the ORIGINAL owners of the unit . . . a.k.a. the people that money actually belonged to.<\/p>\n

       <\/p>\n

      They offered the new owner $600,000 to return the cash . . . but the two sides eventually settled on $1.2 million.<\/p>\n

       <\/p>\n

      Here’s something you might be wondering:\u00a0 If YOU found that cash, and it was legally yours, why would you return it for ANYTHING?\u00a0 Why not just keep the $7.5 million?\u00a0 The law is on your side, right?<\/p>\n

       <\/p>\n

      Well, Dotson and his wife Laura summed it up in a YouTube video:\u00a0 The money was probably DIRTY.\u00a0 Why else was that kind of cash stuffed in a storage unit and not a bank?<\/p>\n

      So if you keep that cash, who knows who might be coming after you?\u00a0 This way, the dude gets to walk away with $1.2 million in his pocket, instead of looking over his shoulder for the rest of his life.<\/p>\n

      A lady in northern California named Char Rostomily recently got tested to see if she could donate to her adult daughter, Nikki.<\/p>\n

      And they weren’t a match, but Nikki ended up getting a kidney from someone else. Then later on, Char was still inspired to donate.\u00a0 So she signed up to give one of her kidneys to someone totally random.<\/p>\n

       <\/p>\n

      She didn’t even get their name. But then on the day of the surgery back in April, her grandkids were telling their friends from school about it. And it turned out their friends’ grandfather was the RECIPIENT.\u00a0 And he’s also one of Char’s NEIGHBORS.<\/p>\n

       <\/p>\n

      His name is Richard Green, and they’d never met before.\u00a0 But she’d gone on field trips with his grandkids.\u00a0 And one of Char’s daughters teaches at their school. She says she only donated as a way of giving back after her daughter got a kidney.<\/p>\n

       <\/p>\n

      But now the two families feel like they’re bonded for life.\u00a0 And she’d be thrilled if the story inspires even one other person to become a living donor.<\/p>\n

                General Motors Canada is preparing big changes for its\u00a0operations in Oshawa, according to multiple reports that say the that the automaker will close its centre of operations east of Toronto.<\/p>\n

                There has been no official word from GM as of Sunday night, and a spokesperson for GM Canada declined comment, but the report indicates that employees were being told to expect an announcement this morning.<\/p>\n

                GM has at least 2,800 employees stationed in Oshawa, with 2,500 of them being union positions, according to Global.<\/p>\n

                The reports of\u00a0potential changes in Oshawa are coming as GM is undergoing a global restructuring of its operations, though it is not known if the reported closure is a part of that restructuring.<\/p>\n
