The\u00a0<\/span>Iowa Cubs<\/b><\/a>are the Chicago Cubs’ Triple-A team, and changed ownership.\u00a0 So the outgoing owner decided to do something big to thank his staff.\u00a0 His name is\u00a0<\/span>Michael Gartner<\/b>, and he’s 83.\u00a0 When the pandemic hit, he refused to lay people off.\u00a0 He’s just kept paying all 23 full-time employees.\u00a0 So they loved him already.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Now they have a new boss.\u00a0 But Michael thought they deserved some of the proceeds from the sale before he left.\u00a0 So on his last day, he gave every employee $2,000 for EACH YEAR they’ve worked there.\u00a0 Everyone got a check, including the janitor.\u00a0 One person who’s been with the team for 35 years got a check for 70 grand.<\/span><\/p>\n

    1. A woman in Sudbury, Ontario recently lost a box of her grandparents’ old\u00a0<\/span>love letters<\/b><\/a>when a relative drove off while they were on top of his truck.\u00a0 But a random guy found them on the road and tracked her down.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      And here’s the best part:\u00a0 He recognized a family name from one of the letters, and they realized the two of them are third cousins.<\/span><\/p>\n

      1. \n<\/span>3<\/span>.\u00a0 The\u00a0<\/span>        Lincoln Tunnel Motel<\/span><\/a>is a dumpy place in Jersey, right outside New York.\u00a0 It’s in the news, because the owner’s son recently took over, and he’s been giving free rooms to people who can’t afford a place to stay.\u00a0 His name is Brian Arya.\u00a0 He also runs a popular TikTok channel called\u00a0<\/span>LTMotel<\/span><\/a>.\u00a0 And check out how humble he is . . .<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
