{"id":27750,"date":"2022-02-02T08:45:14","date_gmt":"2022-02-02T13:45:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/briwebapp.net\/cfcofm\/?p=27750"},"modified":"2022-02-02T07:47:07","modified_gmt":"2022-02-02T12:47:07","slug":"lady-a-settles-lawsuit-over-name","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/briwebapp.net\/cfcofm\/blogs\/country-music-news\/2022\/02\/lady-a-settles-lawsuit-over-name\/","title":{"rendered":"Lady A Settles Lawsuit Over Name"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Lady A, formerly Lady Antebellum, and Seattle blues singer Anita White, also known professionally as Lady A, have reached a settlement in their legal dispute over the name.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/business\/legal\/lady-antebellum-a-name-change-lawsuits-settlement-1235025794\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Billboard reports<\/a> that in a motion filed on Monday, January 31st in Nashville federal court, both acts requested that a federal judge permanently dismiss their lawsuits against one another.<\/p>\n<p>The terms of the agreement were not disclosed.<\/p>\n<p>Lady Antebellum chose to officially change their name to Lady A in 2020 in the midst of racial protests over the death of George Floyd.
