A resident of Chatham, Marilyn Patricia Solski passed away at her residence on Sunday, April 24, 2022 at the age of 89.
\nBorn in Puce, Ontario, she was the daughter of the late David & Marion (nee Miles) Mears. Marilyn is reunited, exactly 17 years ago to the date, with her late husband, Walter Joseph Solski (April 24, 2005).<\/p>\n

She will be cherished by her children, Randy Solski (Jill), Nancy McDowell (Ron), Sandra Cremasco (Paul), and Patty MacDonald (Brian). She was truly a gift to her family.<\/p>\n

Grandma to Jeremy Solski (Aimee), Ryan Solski, Sarah Solski (Jason), Shannon McDowell, Caitlin McDowell, & Sydney Cremasco<\/p>\n

Great-grandma (GG) to Jackson Lynagh, Margo Solski, Addison Lynagh, & Quinn Solski.<\/p>\n

Predeceased by her siblings, David Mears, Margaret Ballew, & Dorothy Parent.<\/p>\n

Marilyn opened her heart and became known as “mom” to so many others.<\/p>\n

Marilyn was a longtime member of Sprucedale United Church. She treasured the dear friendships she made through the church, her bereavement group and the 3-C’s. Marilyn was an avid knitter, gifting many with her handy work, and enjoyed watching the birds & squirrels that visited her feeder.<\/p>\n

Family to receive friends on Sunday, May 1, 2022 from 2:00 – 4:00 pm & 6:00 – 8:00 pm at McKinlay Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair St., Chatham. A Private Family Service and Burial to take place. Cremation has taken place. For those attending, it is requested to wear a mask and respect social distancing. A Livestream of the Service can be found on the website.
