On Wednesday, May 4th, the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame announced which of this year\u2019s nominees will be inducted at the 2022 ceremony on November 5th in Los Angeles.<\/p>\n
Country legend Dolly Parton, rock hitmaker Pat Benatar, new wave chart-toppers Duran Duran, hip-hop heavyweight Eminem, synth-pop duo Eurythmics, R&B hitmaker Lionel Richie and pop singer-songwriter Carly Simon make up the Class of 2022.<\/p>\n
Despite previously asking the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame to withdraw her nomination for possible entry, Dolly changed her mind and said she would “accept gracefully.”<\/p>\n
She told NPR’s Morning Edition that her\u00a0change of heart comes after learning more about the requirements of being in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.<\/p>\n
\u201cSo I just felt like I would be taking away from someone that maybe deserved it, certainly more than me, because I never considered myself a rock artist, but obviously, there\u2019s more to it than that.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
