  1. Paula and Peter Closier became concerned when their 5-year-old beagle-mix, Bonnie, disappeared from their home in Bolney, UK.\u00a0 Little did they know that she was busy \u2013 winning a ribbon at a local dog show.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    After she escaped, Bonnie, who had been adopted as a stray 4 years ago, was found on the side of the road by John Wilmer, who happened to be driving his own 2 pups to a dog show. After posting her picture on Facebook, he decided to take her along to the contest. Bonnie was a hit with the judges, and ended up winning third place in the rescue dog class.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

    Of course, while Bonnie was winning ribbons, her family was frantically looking for her, and Bonnie was returned after the Closiers saw Wilbur\u2019s Facebook post. The kicker? Bonnie\u2019s step-sibling doggo, Cleo, has won prizes at a number of dog shows, but the Closiers had never thought to enter Bonnie in one.<\/span>
