The police in Green Bay, Wisconsin came up with an idea to scare shoplifters earlier this year . . . they put LIFE-SIZED CUTOUTS of the chief of police in stores.<\/p>\n
And maybe it stopped some thefts, because they say shoplifting is down 5%.\u00a0 But it certainly didn’t stop ONE theft.<\/p>\n
Because on Sunday night . . . someone stole the CUTOUT from a convenience store.<\/p>\n
The cops are trying to track down the thief.<\/p>\n
As for the chief, he has a theory of where his cutout might be, quote, “I figure [it’s] posted at a shooting range somewhere, or perhaps lining a birdcage.”<\/p>\n
