{"id":32262,"date":"2022-11-20T07:00:52","date_gmt":"2022-11-20T12:00:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/briwebapp.net\/cfcofm\/?p=32262"},"modified":"2022-11-17T04:53:22","modified_gmt":"2022-11-17T09:53:22","slug":"dolly-parton-gets-100-million-from-jeff-bezos-for-charity","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/briwebapp.net\/cfcofm\/blogs\/country-music-news\/2022\/11\/dolly-parton-gets-100-million-from-jeff-bezos-for-charity\/","title":{"rendered":"Dolly Parton Gets $100 Million From Jeff Bezos For Charity"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Dolly Parton has received Amazon head honcho Jeff Bezos&#8217; Courage &amp; Civility Award and with that $100 million, which is expected to be directed to \u201cthe charities that they see fit.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Bezos&#8217; partner Lauren Sanchez made the announcement during a presentation posted to social channels on Sunday, November 13th, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.billboard.com\/music\/music-news\/dolly-parton-100m-award-amazon-jeff-bezos-1235170595\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">according to Billboard<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The award recognizes \u201cleaders who aim high, find solutions and who always do it with civility,\u201d according to Sanchez.<\/p>\n<p>Parton accepted the award and spoke to the crowd saying,<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cWhen people are in a position to help, you should help. And I know that I\u2019ve always said, I try to put my money where my heart is.
