After seven decades of work, a 91-year-old supermarket worker in Oregon is finally able to retire.<\/p>\n
Betty Glover, with the help of her granddaughter, set up a GoFundMe fundraiser to raise the money that will allow her to finally stop working.<\/p>\n
She launched the online money-raising effort a couple of weeks ago in hopes of paying off the fifth-wheel trailer she calls home.<\/p>\n
At last check she had raised over $70,000, far surpassing her goal of $40,000.<\/p>\n
Betty said she has retirement savings, but uses it to pay her monthly bills, medications and groceries, and wasn\u2019t able to make enough money to pay off her residence.<\/p>\n
She has worked as a cashier at a grocery store for 10 years, but she realizes it\u2019s time to focus on other things.<\/p>\n
