If you haven’t been tracking the wildfires in Maui, it’s a serious situation, and Kip Moore has a special connection to the place.<\/p>\n

When he was flat broke after college, he lived in a “little hut” in Hawaii and hitchhiked to the beach every day to surf.<\/p>\n

He posted a video on Twitter yesterday and talked about the fires.<\/p>\n

He said it’s still like “home” to him, and he has a lot of friends there. He wanted anyone watching from Maui to know people care, and that he realizes it’ll be “a long road back.” But he’s ready to help.<\/p>\n

He’s already organizing a benefit concert, and rallying other artists to be part of it. He said he wants to do it as soon as possible.<\/p>\n

He wrote, “Help is coming, Maui,” and linked to his charity, the One Heartbeat Hawaii Fund<\/a>.<\/p>\n
