Dierks Bentley didn’t bother dreaming of a white Christmas when he was a kid.<\/p>\n
\u201cI grew up in Arizona, so we didn\u2019t have like a white winter kind of deal. It\u2019s kinda\u2026once you experience that, it\u2019s hard to go back and like celebrate Christmas in the desert but\u2026for us, we would\u2026me and my family and a couple other families would go out to the desert and bring a big turkey and just kinda have a cookout in the middle of the desert\u2026and drink beers and ride four-wheelers and\u2026well, I wouldn\u2019t drink beers, but they would. We\u2019d ride four-wheelers and horses and just kind of spend it out in the middle of the desert, which was kind of a cool way to spend Christmas. So, whenever I think of Christmas, I always think of the desert, which is a little weird, but that\u2019s just the way we did it out in Arizona.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
Dierks daughter, Jordan, was born on Christmas Day and turns 13 this year.<\/p>\n
Navigating the birth of his daughter with the holiday that celebrates the birth of Jesus has been a little tough, but he says Jordan has been really good about it.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s tough kind of for Jordan because her birthday IS on Christmas, so it\u2019s kind of one of those things where we try to give her an extra present or two,\u201d says Dierks. \u201cIt\u2019s kind of tough to share your birthday with Jesus.
