“I tell people that I got into a drinking contest with myself in my 20s, and I lost. When you’re younger, you do certain things to make yourself feel like you’re legit. You want to feel things. You want to be able to write about things authentically.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
Chris realized that he didn’t need alcohol to be creative, plus it wasn’t good for him.<\/p>\n
He’s been “all but sober” for several years and “didn’t have to go to rehab.”<\/p>\n
But he DOES go to therapy with his wife Morganne. That’s something they started during the pandemic.<\/p>\n
