Lainey Wilson just appeared on “The Kelly Clarkson Show” and they both gushed over how much they love and respect one another.<\/p>\n
Kelly Clarkson started the love fest by telling Lainey,<\/p>\n
“I saw you perform at the Academy of Country Music Awards and . . . Oh my god. Your whole body is moving and into the song. Everything is singing.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
And then Lainey told her,<\/p>\n
“You’re the same way. I also know that you covered ‘Heart Like a Truck’. And, even when you are singing everybody else’s songs, it’s not like you just learned the words and got up there . . . You are really feeling it for everything it is . . . That means so much to me.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
Kelly told her,<\/p>\n
“It means so much to ME that you are writing music that inspires.” But Lainey then found her moment to playfully take a dig at Kelly by saying, “But you’re singing everybody’s song better than they’re singing ’em. You better quit!”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
And of course, they did a Kellyoke segment too, and teamed up for a duet of Lainey’s new song “Country’s Cool Again”.<\/p>\n
