The annual charity event, \u2018Toby Keith & Friends Golf Classic,\u2019 is celebrating its 20th anniversary, and returning to Norman, Oklahoma from May 31\u2013June 1.<\/p>\n
This will be a bittersweet event, occurring for the first time since Keith passed away.<\/p>\n
But the country legend had immense pride in the work he did to benefit OK Kids Korral, a cost-free home for families of children dealing with critical illnesses. Last year he said of the home.<\/p>\n
\u201c[OK Kids Korral is] my best gift I\u2019ve ever given to the world. One of the first things I thought of when I got cancer was who\u2019s gonna take care of the Korral? Who will carry that torch?\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
Eli Young Band and the Bottom of the Barrel will perform at the dinner and auction on May 31 at Riverwind Casino.<\/p>\n
University of Oklahoma football coach Bob Stoops will emcee the event with Jim West, while Gene McKown will serve as auctioneer.<\/p>\n
The golf outing is on June 1 at Belmar Golf Club.<\/p>\n
