Suddeth, has died unexpectedly.<\/p>\n<p>In an Instagram post on Wednesday, July 24, the 29-year-old singer announced the sad passing of her father.<\/p>\n<p>Alaina is currently on tour supporting Jason Aldean, and she shared that her upcoming shows are cancelled.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cI want to let y\u2019all know that I\u2019m not able to play the three shows I had scheduled for this weekend in Savannah, Virginia Beach, and Charlotte as I am going home to be with my family. Thank you for your prayers and understanding. Pinky.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>She signed off with the name &#8220;Pinky&#8221;, a nod to her dad. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.usmagazine.com\/celebrity-news\/news\/lauren-alaina-cancels-concerts-after-fathers-death\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Alaina told a story a while back about how it became his nickname for her.<\/a><\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;When I was little, I always held his pinky. So, when he comes to see me at my shows, he&#8217;ll stand out in the crowd and hold up his pinky.
