Gretchen Wilson has never been afraid to speak her mind.<\/p>\n

In a recent interview, she discussed a number of topics, including\u00a0the first time she heard Carrie Underwood, how much she dislikes political correctness, and the worst mistakes new artists can make.<\/p>\n

But it was her thoughts on the current state of Country music that really stuck out.<\/p>\n

“I sometimes feel like in Country music we’re kinda like the border, a little too wide open. Everybody, come on in.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Then she qualified that statement by saying…<\/p>\n

“But then there’s other moments where I’m so glad that Country music is so all-encompassing. And we have so much of a variety for people to listen to. Country music has become so wide, that if you can’t find some part of Country music that you like . . . well there’s kinda something wrong with you.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
