{"id":41563,"date":"2024-11-08T04:13:50","date_gmt":"2024-11-08T09:13:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/briwebapp.net\/cfcofm\/?p=41563"},"modified":"2024-11-08T04:13:50","modified_gmt":"2024-11-08T09:13:50","slug":"cody-johnson-says-new-song-recorded-in-one-take","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/briwebapp.net\/cfcofm\/blogs\/country-music-news\/2024\/11\/cody-johnson-says-new-song-recorded-in-one-take\/","title":{"rendered":"Cody Johnson Says New Song Recorded In One Take"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Cody Johnson<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0<strong>Carrie Underwood&#8217;s<\/strong>\u00a0duet\u00a0<strong><em>&#8220;I&#8217;m Gonna Love You&#8221;<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0feels like it&#8217;s gonna have some staying power.\u00a0 Which is pretty cool considering they recorded the vocals in ONE live take.<\/p>\n<p>Cody recently talked about it on an Apple Music\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/reel\/DB1eXVrRZMT\/\"><strong>podcast<\/strong><\/a>.\u00a0 Originally, Cody laid down his vocals, and then Carrie came in and put hers on top.\u00a0 But when they went back to listen to it, something wasn&#8217;t right.<\/p>\n<p>Cody said Carrie made a pondering face, so he said, &#8220;What are you not liking?\u00a0 What&#8217;s wrong?\u00a0 Because I&#8217;m kind of like . . . it doesn&#8217;t have that boom.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>And then Carrie said, &#8220;What if we just sing it live?&#8221;\u00a0 And Cody thought that was a great idea.<\/p>\n<p>Here&#8217;s the kicker.\u00a0 They only needed ONE live take.\u00a0 What you hear on the final version was all done in that single take.<\/p>\n<p>I guess having two mega-stars in that booth and being able to feed off one another meant something magical was bound to happen.
