{"id":41751,"date":"2024-11-21T05:13:04","date_gmt":"2024-11-21T10:13:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/briwebapp.net\/cfcofm\/?p=41751"},"modified":"2024-11-22T10:14:58","modified_gmt":"2024-11-22T15:14:58","slug":"morgan-wallen-wins-big-at-cma-awards","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/briwebapp.net\/cfcofm\/blogs\/country-music-news\/2024\/11\/morgan-wallen-wins-big-at-cma-awards\/","title":{"rendered":"Morgan Wallen Wins Big At CMA Awards"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The CMAs were held last night and Morgan Wallen won Entertainer of the Year.<\/p>\n<p>While announcing the winner for &#8220;Entertaining of the Year&#8221; Jeff Bridges accidentally called Morgan Wallen &#8220;Morgan Wailing&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>[tiktok url=&#8221;https:\/\/www.tiktok.com\/@payneesthetics\/video\/7439579951516486954&#8243;]<\/p>\n<p>Chris Stapleton also had a huge night, too. &#8220;White Horse&#8221; won Song of the Year and Single of the Year, and then he won Male Vocalist of the Year.<\/p>\n<p>After Chris won his third major award he came up and said, &#8220;I&#8217;ve run out of things to say.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>He also opened the night with a performance of &#8220;California Sober&#8221; his song with Post Malone.<\/p>\n<div class=\"video-shortcode embed-container\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"YouTube video player\" width=\"610\" height=\"355\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/GEG6_q0yybo\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<p>Here are the other winners&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Female Vocalist of the Year: Lainey Wilson<\/p>\n<p>New Artist of the Year: Megan Moroney<\/p>\n<p>Vocal Group of the Year: Old Dominion<\/p>\n<p>Vocal Due of the Year: Brooks &amp; Dunn<\/p>\n<p>Musical Event of the Year: &#8220;You Look Like You Love Me&#8221; by Ella Langley and Riley Green<\/p>\n<p>Here were the biggest moments and best performances from last night&#8217;s show:<\/p>\n<p>1. Lainey Wilson did a great job as co-host alongside Luke Bryan and Peyton Manning. She might have had the best line of the night, too. Luke and Peyton were saying how cool it was that Brooks &amp; Dunn first teamed up in 1990. And Lainey said, &#8220;Umm, I was born in 1992.&#8221;<\/p>\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" class=\"insta-iframe\" src=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/DCnYBktt_Ta\/embed\/captioned\" width=\"auto\" height=\"auto\" frameborder=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\"><span data-mce-type=\"bookmark\" style=\"display:inline-block; width: 0px; overflow: hidden; line-height:0;\"  class=\"mce_SELRES_start\"><\/span><\/iframe>\n<p>2. The George Strait tribute was special. Lainey, Miranda Lambert, Parker McCollum, Jamey Johnson, and Chris Stapleton all sang some of George&#8217;s biggest songs. Although Chris Stapleton won the most awards, Luke Combs has the best voice of them all. Here are some more awesome performances: Ella Langley and Riley Green coming out of the crowd to sing &#8220;You Look Like You Love Me&#8221; was pretty cool . . .
