USA!\u201d chant, and Ross tossed the flag out to fans.<\/p>\n<p>[tiktok url=&#8221;https:\/\/www.tiktok.com\/@amamabear324\/video\/7516412486527241518&#8243;]<\/p>\n<p>The moment went viral on social media, and it didn\u2019t land well with everyone, especially his Canadian audience. Some saw it as a slap in the face to the country that raised him.<\/p>\n<p>One fan tweeted, \u201cCanadians supported you from the beginning and were proud to have you represent our flag. Disappointing.\u201d Another posted, \u201cKeep him. You can have him, lol\u2014we don\u2019t want him.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>As the backlash grew, Ross took to TikTok with a video to clear the air.<\/p>\n<p>He said he\u2019s proud to be Canadian, and also proud of the life he\u2019s built in the U.S., where he\u2019s lived for more than five years.
