DIDN&#8217;T win.\u00a0 That horse,\u00a0<strong>Maximum Security<\/strong>, was\u00a0disqualified\u00a0for\u00a0swerving into the path of two of the other horses.\u00a0 That&#8217;s a no-no.\u00a0 Apparently.<\/p>\n<p>Officials spent 22 minutes looking into it, and ultimately UPHELD the objection . . . disqualified Maximum Security . . . and named\u00a0the runner-up\u00a0<strong>Country House<\/strong>\u00a0the winner.<\/p>\n<p>Country House took the $1.86 million prize . . .\u00a0By the way, Country House entered with 65-1 odds\u00a0. . . making him the 2nd-longest\u00a0to win the Kentucky Derby in the 145-year history of the race.\u00a0 Back in 1913,\u00a0<strong>Donerail<\/strong>\u00a0won, despite having 91.5-1 odds.<\/p>\n<p>In 145 years, only ONE other Kentucky Derby winner was disqualified.\u00a0 That was back in 1968, when a horse named\u00a0<strong>Dancer&#8217;s Image<\/strong>\u00a0won . . . but was\u00a0stripped\u00a0of his title several days later after the horse failed a post-race DRUG TEST.<\/p>\n<p>This was the first time a horse was ever disqualified on-site, for breaking the rules<\/p>\n<p><strong>______________________________________________________________________________<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Officials in Albuquerque are\u00a0warning\u00a0people who went to a spa last year and got &#8216;vampire facials&#8217; . . . that&#8217;s where you get plasma from your own blood injected into your face, to look younger.\u00a0 The spa&#8217;s closed now, but apparently, they didn&#8217;t clean the syringes correctly, and two people contracted HIV.\u00a0 <strong><em>Here are some locals and a doctor from another spa.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>______________________________________________________________________________<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>ENTERTAINMENT<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>To the surprise of NO ONE,\u00a0<em><strong>&#8220;Avengers: Endgame&#8221;<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0is still CLEANING UP at the box office.\u00a0 It made another $145.8 million in its second week, which runs its total up to $619.7 million.<\/p>\n<p>And it&#8217;s now the second-highest-grossing movie of all time, with $2.189 billion worldwide.<\/p>\n<p>It just passed\u00a0<em><strong>&#8220;Titanic&#8221;<\/strong><\/em>, which earned $2.187 billion . . . but still trails\u00a0<em><strong>&#8220;Avatar&#8221;<\/strong><\/em>, which made $2.8 billion.<\/p>\n<p>&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;-<\/p>\n<p>Susan Sarandon has signed up for \u201cBad Moms\u2019 Moms\u201d. Every morning, as students walked in front of their house on their way to class, she would offer up a\u00a0friendly wave. Many of the kids waved back, and thus it became somewhat of a ritual.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I just liked the look of the children they all looked in and I thought, \u2018If they\u2019re looking in, I\u2019ll wave to them,\u2019\u00a0 and that\u2019s how it started.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>After her husband passed away, Tinney maintained the daily practice. This wasn&#8217;t enough to make her a record breaker though.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>That&#8217;s because she did it wearing medical scrubs &#8211; and Guinness World Records said this does not meet its criteria for a nurse&#8217;s uniform.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>When Jess was training for the marathon she realized that the record time for the fastest nurse to run a marathon was very close to her personal best.<\/p>\n<p>She told Guinness World Records that she wanted to challenge the record and sent in photos of her in the uniform, so officials could track her during the race.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>But she was told she would not be eligible for a record if she ran in her scrubs because they did not &#8220;meet the criteria&#8221;. An official explained to her: &#8220;For the purposes of this record, the nurse&#8217;s uniform must include: a blue or white nurse dress, a white pinafore apron, a traditional white nurse&#8217;s cap. Tights are optional.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>She says these costume rules would apply to men or women wanting to run in a nurse&#8217;s uniform for a record bid. Jess wrote back asking them to reconsider what she calls this &#8220;outdated and frankly quite sexist&#8221; attitude for future races.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>She pointed out that almost all the nurses on her ward wear scrubs.<\/p>\n<p>A representative for Guinness World Records explained to Jess that this is too similar to their requirements for a doctor&#8217;s uniform: scrubs, white coat and stethoscope.<\/p>\n<p>While Jess knows this might not seem like the biggest problem in the world, but she thinks it &#8220;really has an impact on the public perception of nursing&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>She says it&#8217;s a modern profession that is open to both men and women, so the idea that nurses have to wear a dress and pinafore is &#8220;baffling&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>________________________________________________________________________________________<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Army Vet Lost 44 Pounds Only Drinking Beer for Lent, Inspired by Monks<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>An Ohio man didn&#8217;t eat any food for 46 days. Instead, he spent Lent downing craft beer.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Del Hall, who says he drinks beer for a living, works at Cincinnati&#8217;s Fifty West Brewing Company. Hall wasn&#8217;t buzzed because he spaced out the alcoholic beverages throughout each day. The army veteran lost 44 pounds over the course of about 40 days after being inspired to try an old Catholic tradition.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Being a beer guy, you always hear this story about the monks in Bavaria, like in the 1600s, that they gave up all solid food for Lent and they only drank this special kind of beer that they called doppelbock. According to Brett, laryngitis set in just after beginning his set.<\/p>\n<p>He posted an apology video to fans on Instagram saying things were fine during soundcheck but crept up on him quickly just minutes into the show. Brett wrote, &#8220;My voice felt great all day and 10 minute before show time it started to go. I wanted to try to get through it with you guys but as I\u2019m sure you could tell, I had nothing. I will make this up to you. I promise.
