As part of the show\u2019s 50th anniversary celebration, the intersection of West 63rd Street and Broadway in Manhattan, where the show\u2019s offices are located, has been permanently renamed \u201cSesame Street\u201d<\/p>\n
At the official ceremony, New York Mayor Bill de Blasio was joined by Big Bird, Cookie Monster, Elmo and more of their friends to commemorate the event, which is part of the show\u2019s year-long celebration.<\/p>\n
