life.\u00a0 And a few years ago, she noticed some of the other sick kids she met didn&#8217;t have stuffed animals.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>She wanted to give them some of hers.\u00a0 But they couldn&#8217;t use them because of germs.\u00a0 They&#8217;re only allowed to have NEW toys no one&#8217;s used yet.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>So when she was four years old, Alex took all the money in her piggy bank . . . a whopping\u00a065\u00a0bucks . . . and bought\u00a013\u00a0teddy bears.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Since then, she&#8217;s bought another\u00a0400\u00a0plush toys by collecting Employer Failed To Provide Adequate Vegan Food<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Here is an interesting human rights complaint:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>An Ontario firefighter has filed a human rights complaint that could set a precedent for the accommodation of ethical veganism.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Adam Knauff alleges the Ministry of Natural Resources violated his\u00a0human rights when he was not provided sufficient vegan food while battling a massive blaze in British Columbia in 2017.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The Kenora man says his employer discriminated against his sincerely held ethical belief \u2014 or creed \u2014 when it failed to provide him with adequate vegan food but the ministry argues that veganism is lifestyle choice and does not meet the legal definition of creed.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The advocacy group \u201cAnimal Justice\u201d is hoping to intervene in what it says is an important test case because veganism in the workplace isn\u2019t limited to Steps to Turn Yourself into a Morning Person<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A new study found it IS possible to turn yourself into a morning person.\u00a0 You just have to be vigilant for about a month.\u00a0 Here are the five steps you need to follow . . .<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Force yourself to get up two to three hours earlier than usual.\u00a0 Then immediately get some sun.\u00a0 It signals your body to stop producing the sleep hormone melatonin.\u00a0 So opening your curtains or having breakfast outside can help you adjust.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ol start=\"2\">\n<li>No caffeine after 3:00 PM.\u00a0 That means coffee AND soda.\u00a0 It might not matter for everyone.\u00a0 But people in the study had a three o&#8217;clock cutoff time for melatonin earlier, so it&#8217;s easier to sleep.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ol start=\"4\">\n<li>Stick to your schedule.\u00a0 Don&#8217;t stay up late, or sleep in on weekends.\u00a0 For the first month or two, try to go to bed within the same 30-minute window each night.\u00a0 And naps are okay, but not after 4:00 PM.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ol start=\"5\">\n<li>Move up your meals.\u00a0 Have breakfast as soon as you wake up.\u00a0 Don&#8217;t do dinner after 7:00 PM.\u00a0 And you might need to shift a few other things too.\u00a0 Like showering earlier, or exercising in the morning instead of at
