{"id":7106,"date":"2019-06-20T04:28:24","date_gmt":"2019-06-20T08:28:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/briwebapp.net\/cfcofm\/?p=7106"},"modified":"2019-06-20T04:29:02","modified_gmt":"2019-06-20T08:29:02","slug":"carrie-underwood-being-sued-for-snf-theme","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/briwebapp.net\/cfcofm\/blogs\/country-music-news\/2019\/06\/carrie-underwood-being-sued-for-snf-theme\/","title":{"rendered":"Carrie Underwood Being Sued For SNF Theme"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"video-shortcode embed-container\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"YouTube video player\" width=\"610\" height=\"355\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/LeJotdhLS5c\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<p>Carrie Underwood, her producer, Mark Bright, NBC, the NFL and others are being sued for copyright infringement.<\/p>\n<p>California-based singer Heidi Merrill claims that Underwood&#8217;s version of the Sunday Night Football theme was stolen directly from her song, &#8220;Game On,&#8221; which Merrill says she posted to YouTube in 2017 and submitted to Mark Bright that same year in hopes that Underwood would record it for the 2018 NFL season.<\/p>\n<div class=\"video-shortcode embed-container\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"YouTube video player\" width=\"610\" height=\"355\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/upceJcgD-QM\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<p>TMZ reports that Merrill was eventually told Underwood&#8217;s camp passed on using &#8220;Game On,&#8221; so she was shocked to see a new song called &#8220;Game On&#8221; being promoted for Sunday Night Football.<\/p>\n<p>At press time, Merrill is seeking an undetermined amount of money.
