out, it was a case of mistaken identity.<\/p>\n The Dominican Republic’s lead prosecutor\u00a0says\u00a0Ortiz was not the target of the nightclub shooting on June 9th.<\/p>\n Authorities believe the target was\u00a0another man, who was\u00a0seated near Ortiz,\u00a0wearing similar clothes.<\/p>\n It was reportedly orchestrated by a man linked to Mexico’s Gulf Cartel.\u00a0 He hasn’t been apprehended yet.\u00a0 Supposedly, he’d ordered the hit on his COUSIN, who he thought ratted him out to the police eight years ago.<\/p>\n A total of 11 suspects are in custody.\u00a0 Two others are still on the loose.<\/p>\n Ortiz remains hospitalized. \u00a0His condition has been upgraded from\u00a0“guarded”\u00a0to\u00a0“good,” but he’s not out of the woods yet.<\/p>\n
