{"id":7403,"date":"2019-06-24T09:30:25","date_gmt":"2019-06-24T13:30:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/briwebapp.net\/cfcofm\/?p=7403"},"modified":"2019-06-25T08:49:41","modified_gmt":"2019-06-25T12:49:41","slug":"on-todays-show-184","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/briwebapp.net\/cfcofm\/blogs\/mornings\/2019\/06\/on-todays-show-184\/","title":{"rendered":"On Today&#8217;s Show"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A woman in New Brunswick wanted to get a jump on Halloween and bought a\u00a0skeleton\u00a0at a yard sale for two dollars this week, then left it in the passenger&#8217;s seat of her car while she went shopping.\u00a0 And it was realistic enough that someone called the cops.<\/p>\n<p><strong>______________________________________________________________________________<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A woman named Tiffani Adams was on an Air Canada flight back to her home in Toronto earlier this month after she&#8217;d been visiting a friend in Quebec.\u00a0 It was a short flight, she had an entire row to herself, and she fell asleep.<\/p>\n<p>Well . . . she woke up a few hours later and the plane was pitch black, cold, and parked.\u00a0 Somehow the crew had just FORGOTTEN her on the flight.<\/p>\n<p>Her phone was dead so she couldn&#8217;t call for help.\u00a0 She wound up finding a flashlight in the cockpit, prying the plane&#8217;s door open, and using the flashlight to signal for help . . . since it was a 50-foot drop to the ground. Luckily for her, a crew member was driving around and saw her.\u00a0 She says she&#8217;s been having insomnia ever since and Air Canada has called her repeatedly to talk to her about what happened.<\/p>\n<p>Air Canada confirmed that all of this happened . . . they say they&#8217;re investigating.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0____________________________________________________________________________________<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><u>ENTERTAINMENT<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em><strong>&#8220;Toy Story 4&#8221;\u00a0<\/strong><\/em>won the box office this weekend, with a huge $118 million take . . . and yet, it was somehow STILL a bit of a\u00a0disappointment. \u00a0Heading into the weekend, it seemed headed for a $140- to $150 million opening.<\/p>\n<p>And while it had the biggest opening of a\u00a0<em>&#8220;Toy Story&#8221;<\/em>\u00a0movie on the surface . . . if you adjust for inflation, it fell below what\u00a0<em><strong>&#8220;Toy Story 3&#8221;<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0made nine years ago.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ol start=\"2\">\n<li>NEW:\u00a0\u00a0<em><strong>&#8220;Child&#8217;s Play&#8221;<\/strong><\/em>, $14.1 million<\/li>\n<li><em><strong>&#8220;Aladdin&#8221;<\/strong><\/em>, $12.2 million.\u00a0 Up to $287.5 million in its 5th week.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>______________________________________________________________________________________<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>TODAY IS\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026\u2026.<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cSt-Jean Baptiste Day\u201d, the \u201cF\u00eate Nationale\u201d holiday in the province of Qu\u00e9bec and in French-Canadian communities across the country. Besides Qu\u00e9bec, St John the Baptist is also the patron saint of auto routes, candlemakers, health spas, road workers, and wool workers.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>2010 [09] American John Isner finally defeats Nicolas Mahut of France at Wimbledon in the longest match in professional tennis history (11 hours, 5 minutes of play over 3 days, with a final score of 70-68 after 183 games)<\/p>\n<p><strong>_____________________________________________________________________________<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><u>\u00a0<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><u>COUNTRY MUSIC NOTE<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Jason Aldean<\/strong>\u00a0picked up a gold album for &#8220;Wide Open&#8221;\u00a0in 2009.<\/p>\n<p><strong>_____________________________________________________________________________<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><u>\u00a0<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Someone Tried to Steal Halle Berry&#8217;s Entire House<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A 59-year-old guy named Ronald Eugene Griffin tried to steal\u00a0<strong>HALLE BERRY&#8217;s<\/strong>\u00a0house . . . not rob it, take the WHOLE THING!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Griffin first showed up at Halle&#8217;s house in L.A. back in January.\u00a0 He was messing around with the locks, but was chased off by the gardener.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>In March, he came back, and he brought a LOCKSMITH with him.\u00a0 Halle&#8217;s employees caught them trying to get in . . . with Griffin arguing that HE was the new owner of the house and he had the deed to prove it.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Halle&#8217;s team called 911, but so did Griffin.\u00a0 He&#8217;d already had one of the locks changed, and he told the cops that HER people were trespassing on HIS property.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>When the cops got there, they looked at Griffin&#8217;s deed, and discovered that he&#8217;d FAKED it.\u00a0 He was arrested and hit with a felony count of &#8216;procuring and offering a false warranty deed&#8217; and an additional count of petty theft.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Halle didn&#8217;t know who Griffin was, and supposedly, he DIDN&#8217;T know it was her house.\u00a0 This isn&#8217;t the first time Halle&#8217;s had major issues with intruders.\u00a0 In 2011, she came home, walked in the kitchen and told cops, &#8220;As I opened my glass kitchen door and closed it behind me, all of a sudden I sensed someone behind me . . .&#8221;[I] turned to see the intruder standing less than a foot behind me, staring through my glass kitchen door.&#8221;\u00a0 Yikes.\u00a0 That guy was also arrested.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s unclear if she was at home during the times when Griffin was caught on her property . . . but as far as we know, they never actually came face-to-face.<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>\u00a0________________________________________________________________________________________<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><u>\u00a0<\/u><\/strong><strong><u>\u00a0<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><u>RANDOM REPORT<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Tennis balls were originally white, but they officially switched to yellowish-green in 1972 so they&#8217;d show up better on TV.\u00a0 Wimbledon kept on using white balls until 1986.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ol start=\"2\">\n<li>Target has its own forensic labs in Las Vegas and Minneapolis, where criminal justice experts and forensic scientists solve crimes that happened at Target.\u00a0 They also help out real law enforcement agencies when they need extra manpower or facilities.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ol start=\"3\">\n<li>Remember in the &#8217;90s when there were all those phone numbers you could call for cheaper long distance, like &#8220;10-10-321&#8221; They asked 20,000 people about how much time they spent in a natural environment over the previous week.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>What they found was that those who reported spending more than two hours in nature were more likely to report high levels of health and well-being. Midland member\u00a0<strong>Jess Carson\u00a0<\/strong>tells us:\u00a0<strong>[<\/strong>\u201cWe\u2019ve done one show with Garth so far in Pittsburgh. It was the largest ticketed event in the history of Pittsburgh as a city, 75,000 people, Heinz Field. It was absolutely insane. The show actually got delayed about an hour and a half because of a thunderstorm. So, when we went on, it was like for the full 75,000 people. So, it was nuts, and Garth is just so gracious.\u00a0 And one of the coolest parts of the whole thing for me was he was sound checking, and then we were waiting to soundcheck and he was like comin\u2019 up on stage.\u00a0 So I\u2019m standing like next to him, and he\u2019s playing \u2018The River\u2019 and \u2018Thunder Rolls\u2019.\u00a0 He\u2019s like going through all these songs. You know, I\u2019m just like standing right next to him.\u00a0 It\u2019s crazy.\u201d]<\/p>\n<p>Midland just announced their\u00a0<em>Let It Roll Tour<\/em>, which will support their brand new album of the same name coming out on August 23rd. MassLive.com reports that Bryan, who was wearing a Patriots jersey, grabbed a football and tried to complete a pass to Gronkowski on stage, but Bryan overthrew him and a fan ended up with the ball. Bryan got the ball back and managed to get it to Gronk on his second pass attempt saying, \u201cI can now say I completed a pass to Gronk in Gillette Stadium.
