{"id":8493,"date":"2019-07-23T05:30:31","date_gmt":"2019-07-23T09:30:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/briwebapp.net\/cfcofm\/?p=8493"},"modified":"2019-07-22T11:11:44","modified_gmt":"2019-07-22T15:11:44","slug":"brooks-dunns-lend-awards-to-the-hall-of-fame","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/briwebapp.net\/cfcofm\/blogs\/country-music-news\/2019\/07\/brooks-dunns-lend-awards-to-the-hall-of-fame\/","title":{"rendered":"Brooks &amp; Dunn&#8217;s Lend Awards To The Hall Of Fame"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"video-shortcode embed-container\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"YouTube video player\" width=\"610\" height=\"355\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/A2dvzS-l4IM\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<p>Brooks &amp; Dunn are the subject of a new exhibit at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum in Nashville beginning next month.<\/p>\n<p>The display, called &#8220;Brooks &amp; Dunn: Kings of Neon,&#8221; opens Aug. 9th and runs through July 19, 2020.<\/p>\n<p>The exhibit encompasses Kix Brooks and Ronnie Dunn&#8217;s early solo careers, the circumstances that united them as performers, and their unique approach to stage production and touring.<\/p>\n<p>Noteworthy items featured in the display include dozens of awards presented to Brooks &amp; Dunn between 1992 and 2006, including Grammys, CMA and ACM awards, the Neon Circus &amp; Wild West Show-themed Les Paul electric guitar, built for Kix by the Gibson Custom Shop&#8217;s Master Luthier, Bruce Kunkel, in 2001, and Early draft lyrics to &#8220;Red Dirt Road,&#8221; written by Ronnie.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier this year, the Hall of Fame paid a visit to Kix and Ronnie&#8217;s homes to retrieve their extension collections of memorabilia for the exhibit. Kix said his house now feels empty:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;They cleaned you out. Cleaned me out. This van came up and got all my awards and guitars. You wouldn&#8217;t even want to go to my house right now cause it was all about me and now it&#8217;s like I don&#8217;t know . . . it&#8217;s just like a house! I can&#8217;t strut through in my bathrobe anymore and go, &#8216;Damn I&#8217;m awesome!&#8217; Now it&#8217;s like I&#8217;m just a regular human being.&#8221;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Brooks &amp; Dunn will be inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in October.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Brooks &amp; Dunn are the subject of a new exhibit at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum in Nashville beginning next month.
