A day later, she said she found out where her mom was hiding her DS and took it back, so she could respond to direct messages.\u00a0 But then her mom caught her AGAIN.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>So at that point, she had no way to get online . . . until she realized she could send tweets through her parents&#8217; SMART REFRIGERATOR.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>She said, quote, &#8220;I do not know if this is going to tweet. \u00a0I am talking to my fridge.\u00a0 What the heck? \u00a0My mom confiscated all of my electronics again.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>She went radio silent for a few days after that.\u00a0 Then she posted one more time the other day after going viral, and thanked people for all the support.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Now the hashtag &#8220;FreeDorothy&#8221; is trending. \u00a0And Twitter&#8217;s official account even\u00a0shared\u00a0it.<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>\u00a0<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><u>\u00a0_______________________________________________________________________________________<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><u>RANDOM REPORT<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>The U.S. military supported the movie\u00a0<em><strong>&#8220;Independence Day&#8221;<\/strong><\/em>and even offered military costumes and props . . . until the film refused to eliminate mentions of Area 51. NATIONAL RADIO DAY\u2026.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>The First Radio Station:<\/strong>\u00a0 In 1920, Westinghouse, one of the leading radio manufacturers, had an idea for selling more radios.\u00a0 It would offer programming.\u00a0 Radio began as a one-to-one method of communication, so this was a novel idea.\u00a0 Dr. Frank Conrad was a Pittsburgh area ham operator with lots of connections.\u00a0 He frequently played records over the airwaves for the benefit of his friends.\u00a0 This was just the sort of thing Westinghouse had in mind, and it asked Conrad to help set up a regularly transmitting station in Pittsburgh.<\/p>\n<p>On November 2, 1920, station KDKA made the nation&#8217;s first commercial broadcast (a term coined by Conrad).\u00a0 They chose that date because it was election day, and the power of radio was proven when people could hear the results of the Harding-Cox presidential race before they read about it in the newspaper.<\/p>\n<p>KDKA was a huge hit, inspiring other companies to take up broadcasting.\u00a0 In four years,\u00a0 there were 600 commercial stations. CFCO has been on the air since September 1927 and is one of Canada\u2019s oldest continuously running radio stations. CINW Montreal came on in 1919 \u2013 2010<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>\u00a0<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<ol start=\"4\">\n<li>Dwayne &#8220;The Rock&#8221; Johnson&#8217;s wedding, Madonna&#8217;s birthday, Ben &amp; Jerry&#8217;s ice cream, and Katy Perry accused of harassment.\u00a0 (From Conan and David Spade on Monday, August 19, 2019)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>_____________________________________________________________________________________________<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>Carrie Underwood, Reba McEntire, and Dolly Parton Are Hosting This Year&#8217;s CMAs . . . <\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>CARRIE UNDERWOOD<\/strong>\u00a0will be hosting this year&#8217;s CMAs with\u00a0<strong>REBA MCENTIRE<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0<strong>DOLLY PARTON<\/strong>.\u00a0 That means\u00a0<strong>BRAD PAISLEY<\/strong>\u00a0is OUT after co-hosting with Carrie for 11 straight years.<\/p>\n<p>Here&#8217;s the official word:\u00a0 &#8220;The\u00a0<em><strong>&#8217;53rd Annual CMA Awards&#8217;<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0will celebrate the legacy of women within country music, and we couldn&#8217;t think of a more dynamic group of women to host the show.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s a brilliant move to bring in two artists who are legends, and they&#8217;ve even\u00a0hosted\u00a0the show before.\u00a0 Dolly did in 1988, and Reba did it from 1990 to 1992.<\/p>\n<p>This can&#8217;t be great news for Brad.\u00a0 Hosting a high-profile show like that leads to more fans, which means more record sales and more people buying concert tickets.<\/p>\n<p>Still, he took the high road.\u00a0 He hit up\u00a0Twitter\u00a0yesterday and wrote, &#8220;As a fan of all three of these amazing women, I can&#8217;t wait to watch.&#8221;\u00a0 It&#8217;s way too early to know if Brad will be coming back in 2020.\u00a0 The final CMA nominees will be announced a week from tomorrow . . .
