Feel Good Friday – Digital Detox

Every Friday we team up with the Canadian Mental Health Association Lambton Kent to share ways you can take care of yourself, focus on mental health and help you FEEL GOOD!

Today, as we head into another long weekend, why not try a digital detox?

GASP.

I know.  Imagine.  But trust me when I say – it’s so worth it.  I’ve done a few and I always feel better after.  To be honest, over the last year I have almost completely removed myself from the online world.

So let’s do it. Even if it is just for the weekend.  Let’s challenge ourselves, promise ourselves – to take that digital break.

Shutting off from technology for a given period of time can improve sleep and concentration, reduce stress, improve happiness and help with your mental health!  It’s true.  Studies show that doing a digital detox may help you establish a healthier, less stressful work-life balance, and detoxing might be a good way to focus on what’s important in your own life, without comparing yourself to others.
