Feel Good Friday – Strengthening Connections
August 6, 2021 10:06 amIt’s another Feel Good Friday with the Canadian Mental Health Association Lambton Kent – all about sharing ways you can continue to take care of yourself, focus on your mental health and FEEL GOOD!
This week is all about strengthening our connections – if the pandemic has taught us one thing, it is how important our social connections and relationships are!
Several studies suggest that good relationships and strengthening our connections with others, and our communities, are associated with positive mental wellbeing. Strong relationships with family and friends can allow us to share our feelings and give us emotional support.
Evidence shows that stronger, broader social connections can increase our feelings of happiness and self-worth.
TRY: Having lunch with a colleague, or visit a friend who needs support, volunteer at a local school, or switch off the TV tonight and play a game instead!
